I had thought there would be no connection while I was on vacation, but I found one. Then I ran across this update.
Wow. That's all I can really say.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?School's starting. Might have a lull. Might not! We'll see >>;
I just saw CC 253 and I have to say... Oh noes! Maoh has bumped into the concept of tropes! We are (fluffyly) DOOMED!
Art and expression in the 3rd and 4th panels is simply beautiful.
I don't know if to or to
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?Aww did discussion here die down? Well I have a page for anyone interested to read: http://kyrio.deviantart.com/#/d49gv4r
You set up the pun that long, and come the moment of truth, you- you- I FEEL SO BETRAYED!
Bit amusing that the gunplay is being omitted from the present catching-up, as well.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?I'm actually kind of glad it got interrupted, since the pun was still there, but it wasn't directly uttered. I personally found it funnier that way.

Any man can make a pun. It takes a master to force the audience to make it for you. ;)
Updates have picked up, by the way! If anyone still reads this thing.
I do! I just didn't quite get the reflex to comment on a webcomic (especially as my early ones didn't have a comment feature).
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Wow, I checked the site and there weren't any updates, but then I check your deviant art and there are like a dozen more strips added! I quite enjoyed reading them, and Aodan is always fun to see.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!The website and DA (theoretically) update once a week. DA is about 4 or 5 strips ahead.
Regular updates are a thing again, thought I should mention. http://charcole.kyrio.net/
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?I think the move away from DA was a bad idea. The comment system is still there, and I know *I* don't click the "back" button after reaching the actual comic...
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."The intention was to drive more traffic to my website, which the statistics show has happened, so it's more or less a success. I do wish people would use the forums more, but I'm afraid the lack of activity prevents people from doing that. Which is kind of a catch-22.
Reviving thread, as the comic seems to be on a monthly schedule for now.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?That pun was awful and awesome at the same time.
By the way, I went on to re-read the archives recently, and I noticed the website is too narrow for the old strip format. It shrinks them, making the text even less readable.
On my end, I worked around it with a GreaseMonkey script:
// @name Widen CharCole layout
// @namespace Huh
// @description Early comics are wide, the narrow layout shrinks them to unreadablity
// @include http://charcole.kyrio.net/?comic=*
// @version 1
// @grant none
// @require http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.9.1/jquery.min.js
// ==/UserScript==
$('#page').width('920px');
$('#comic').css({ padding:'0px' });

You know, I should really be adding this to my devwatch.
So I did!
