I'm sure someone posted about this in October when it happened, but I just found the video and the story.
Last year, a man named Aaron Gouveia and his wife were trying to have a baby. She got pregnant, but 16 weeks in, they found out that the baby had Sirenomelia (aka Mermaid syndrome). The baby's legs were fused together, and it had no bladder or kidneys. Had the baby been carried to term, there was a good chance it would have been stillborn. The couple had no choice but to abort the pregnancy.
On the day they went to the clinic, a pair of pro-life protestors shouted at Gouveia's wife, saying that she was "killing" her baby. What with the pain his wife was already going through and the knowledge that this was their second failed attempt at having a child, Gouveia snapped. He grabbed his cell phone, turned on the video camera, stormed over to the women, and began yelling at them for having no idea what they were talking about.
...I know everyone has the right to believe what they want, but in this situation? All I can say is GIVE THIS MAN A GODDAMN TROPHY.
