Is that Vulture thing the really nice-looking Net Hack skin? Because I've been looking for that, and thank you if it is. Anyway, Desktop Dungeons is a pretty good Roguelike, and a good bit less intimidating than Net Hack or Angband or such. If those are lions, than DD is a domesticated cat. Spelunky is good, too, even if it isn't turn-based like most Roguelikes. Hm... Elona? What's that? *clicks link* Shena's ass is the best. ... Is there any context where that doesn't sound... well, like that?
"DURANDAL AND GLADOS WILL MAKE BEAUTIFUL CYBER SEX AND HAVE SNARKY PILLOW TALK" - The FreemanI like Ancient Domains Of Mystery.
And I wouldn't say that Desktop Dungeons is a cat. It's still pretty damn hard, it's just short. So it's like...a midget lion, or something.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderIt's like... a lynx. A lynx that grows complacent with age, because once you've maxed out the bonus dungeons, everything but the gauntlet and the campaign is pretty easy.
"DURANDAL AND GLADOS WILL MAKE BEAUTIFUL CYBER SEX AND HAVE SNARKY PILLOW TALK" - The FreemanFunny thing to find this thread. I just (as in like just 5 minutes ago) beat Shiren The Wanderer for the DS.
What a great game :) Nothing like a game where it's just you and your wits against the game.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Played Moria on VAX/VMS back in 1988. Good times, good times.

Discuss all things Roguelike here.
Lately, I've been playing the Vulture's Eye/Claw versions of Net Hack, Elona, and I did play Angband a bit, but not much lately.
I've also just recently downloaded Rogue Survivor and Gearhead 1, though I haven't played the latter yet. Oh, and of course, I play Pokemon Myster Dungeon 2: Sky version frequently, because it's that good a game.
Also, if anyone has any recommendations for specific Roguelikes or mods for an existing Roguelike, feel free to share them. =)
