I dont think theyre squashing down their problems, just choosing to forget about them for now. Given whats happened, itd be good.

I more got the impression that all of them realized he'd just said something that would create an incredibly awkward situation with Isabel, and everyone except Isabel decided they are not obligated to stick themselves in the middle of that situation. Isabel (the only person not to pretend she had a valid excuse to leave) could have dropped the topic for a variety of reasons. Knowing her she might not even be able to pinpoint which one or ones.

In general poor communication is a huge pet peeve of mine. In fiction and in real life.

So many problems would be solved a lot quicker if someone just up and opened their mouth.

That's... interesting. Is he covering for Hijack? Or Zarei? Or is he trying to manipulate Spender somehow? I'm not really sure what his deal is, here.

Maybe I remember wrong, but I think he promised Hijack not to snitch.

If Lucifer had been knocked unconscious, wouldn't whatever Spender's hiding come out?

Maybe the shadow prison can stay in place? Or Hijack could have controlled him? He should hope Spender doesn't look at things as hard as that.

Lucifer told Hijack that he knew Spender wouldn't agree to work together if he knew what Hijack was doing, because of stubborn pride. So he's lying to manipulate Spender, but with the apparent end goal of getting him to accept help from Zarei.

I wonder if Spender is gonna (eventually) piece together that Lucifer lied. I doubt it.

Jjack... no relation to Johnny. I'm expecting a Crowning Moment of Heartwarming any moment now...

You know, I almost thought this monster of a chapter was winding down. Then again, maybe this is just a prelude to the next.

I wonder if Local Businessowner is really talking to Hijack or if we're going to be misled twice on a row.

Local business owner used to be a Spectral, maybe. "For all intents and purposes". And Dr. Zarei has an adversarial history with the vice-principal.

I preferred it when the vice principal being an evil ghost was just a silly gag among all the chaos.

Maybe they still see her as a evil ghost and are confusing her with one.

I'd find it hilarious if it turns out evil vice-principal is seriously evil character

The amount of detail given to the shadows in that long panel is kind of eerie. Getting a bad feeling here...
