Can't say how much I appreciate that Max is really ineffective. He's trying, but he's been at this spectral thing like 2-3 days, so it's nice that he gets owned constantly. He has no experience with this.
And he serves to be the constant snark well.
Max is accidentally useful. ABILITY UNLOCKED!
The Scrapdragon in the reflection of Max's bat is a nice touch.
Hey, my half-joking prediction came true!
YOU MADE YOUR POINT DON'T DO IT YOU'RE TOO YOUNG
Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️That is one great emoticon
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Is Lucifer stubbornly facing away from the fight? It's hard to tell which direction he's facing.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)This feels a little too much like Eightfold's dying speech. I half expect the next strip to be an indication that Hijack is intentionally trying to fake Isabel out by invoking that prior speech.
Its definitely fake out being set up for comedic effect at least
If it isn't, then this comic has done too many of those for me to actually tell <_<

Well he has no way of having heard that conversation. I think this is just how the author writes spirit goodbye speeches.
That said, it'd be pretty funny of Isabel immediately grabbed him and carted him off to the town's foremost doctor for spirits. Who would then have to pretend not to know who he is.
Your funny quote here! (Maybe)He's a spirit. All he needs is a suitable object to hide in to survive.
True. Eightfold's issue was being trapped in its artifact in solid rock. Which does probably lead to a question... can spirits escape their tool if it's abandoned or is Eightfold stuck there forever, slowly starving due to a lack of books?
Is Eightfold's book actually stuck inside solid rock? I know it fell off the train, but the train seemed to be outdoors (max fell out, like, three pages later). He's probably just lying in a forest in the middle of nowhere.
edit: Yeah, I reviewed the scene and they were indeed in a tunnel that looked to be underground. Since the tunnel was probably being made by the train, it probably collapsed after. Sucks to be him.

Your funny quote here! (Maybe)Yeah this is a fakeout.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Eightfold's a her.
I'm half expecting the next page to go:
And then he realizes that he's not getting out of this that easily and has to actually talk this out with them now.
He's still playing a role, this time it's just "regretful villain who only sees the err of his ways after being defeated by the heroes".
I'm betting that next page has him either phasing through the floor and escaping, or someone (probably Isabelle) ruining his performance by punching him in the face.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. Is that puppet his older brother?
Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️For some reason I find it funny how Isaac is being embarrassed on background
Anyway, huh, no dramatic speech made fun of yet at least. Whee!

Feel like Isabel might have been taking out her frustrations a bit here.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.The future looks bright... not again!
I'm assuming that the "bright" future is supposed to be a Lucifer reference.
Spender speaks for the first time in like two years! Hooray!
He and PJ need to stop screaming with their attacks. It's wholly ineffective.
