I'm under this impression that this is definitely a case where you should find another page image. I've been wrong before, but I can't be wrong all the time.

Class Rep: "She is smart, poised, caring, and she butts her nose in where no one wants it.

"The Class Representative is disturbed by how the lead or their friends don't participate in club activities or how their grades are slipping and never gets the hint that nobody cares about that stuff. Usually this character is female."

Not sure if this is picturable. It's all about personality traits and a certain role in the plot, all stuff that's difficult to illustrate visually. We can have a school uniform, but I can't imagine what else.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

Well, if we can have a pic at all for this, it definitely shouldn't be that one.

I suspect there may be something from the manga of Neon Genesis Evangelion showing Hikari Horaki in her role as class rep, but I can't remember right now.

Hmm Chiyo-chan from Azumanga Daioh taking a poll on what they should do for the culture festival while Yukari sits off to the side might work

Or just a better one from Negima of her putting her foot down on the class's antics.

Need a little time to find images.

It should probably be a picture of someone scolding or lecturing or something like that.

That picture is terrible.

Still don't care for the practice of pulling images right away before discussion.

Okay, so here are some of the more famous "Class Rep" characters:

Hikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion (Probably the best example I can think of, there should be an array of pictures.)

The Fujibayashi twins from Clannad (We can probably find one for Kyou)

Ryoko Asakura from Haruhi Suzumiya (Pre-reveal anyway)

Kaname Chidori from Full Metal Panic, I seem to recall a scene where she instructs the class on the proper way to divide garbage into different categories for proper disposal. If we could find a good shot of that scene it might work.

I'd guess that those are the best prospects for finding a good image.

Maybe we could also try Percy Wesley or Hermione Granger for some non-anime images.

So lets exercise some image-search-fu and see what we can come up with.

Another good character to check is Iinchou from Seto No Hanayome. Being the Iinchou is pretty much her sole defining characteristic, she's never even given a name. (ok, until she goes nuts and starts running around yelling "YES! AMAZONESS!", but thats beside the point)

Trying to get the point of this trope across in a picture is pretty hard. [1] [2] [3] the second one probably gets the point across.

[4][5] There are also these manga panels The first one distills this trope to its core but its little more than just a quote.

Ayaka's a really terrible example.

None of those show the trope.

Huh? *confused* Because that's exactly what a Class Rep does.

Well I expected a class rep being uptight about rules or butting into other people's business or something.

[1] She is yelling at the class, being controlling doing the usual Class Rep stuff does when the teacher isnt there.

There is also this from the first series.

Alright, so I went and just googled "Class Rep"

This was the first image to leap out at me. Looks like a class rep.

The first anime character represented was Hikari (no surprise).

This was the best one I found of her. Maybe with a caption: "No listening to music in my classroom!" Or something similar.

This was the only other one that looked decent to me.

I also went digging through the Megatokyo archives to see if I could find a good shot of Ibara Junko in her Class Rep mode. Since it's a webcomic I figured it might have a better chance of depicting this kind of thing in a static picture. Haven't found one yet. Maybe I'll look some more tomorrow.

The first one relies on the caption a bit too much I think.
