It actually worked out really well in practice, and while some people would add an "until BFR's came out" to the end of that, I didn't like them, but they didn't break the game for me either.

Ok, so I fucking loved Planetside. Played from functional alpha all the way to aftershock, kickass game.
Now the sequel, which as of right now has the working title of Planetside Next, has been confirmed by SOE to be coming out this month.
Where's the PR? The lightshows? The trailers? The hype? The pre-orders?
More importantly, where's the damn release date? I've never seen a game that hasn't nailed a solid shelf date onto a game that is being released at least a month ahead of time.
