Those in cities and sububs, how often do you go to suburbs and cities?:

As in once a day, a few times a week, etc? I wonder that as the times ive been into suburbs a lot of the people there rarely go into the city proper and have a sort of 'turf' where they hang out often.

I live in the city and go to school in the suburbs/country so I spend a lot of time in both.

Twice a month to visit my parents in the suburbs, forgetting for a moment they practically live down the street from Jack Chick.
Gunpla is amazing!
Suburb in macomb county. Depends on what your definition of 'city' is.

If you mean Detroit? Only when I have to. Which is thankfully almost never.

My city (11th largest in Canada...fuck you, Waterloo Region) is not quite big enough to have this huge distinction between neighbourhoods, really, but I guess it could be said that I do live in a suburb. I make my way through the city core at least five days a week, because I take a city bus to school. I also work on the side of town completely opposite of where I live.

Because it's one of Americas biggest shitholes.
The AR-15 is responsible for 95% of all deaths each year. The rest of the deaths are from obesity and drone strikes.

I live in a suburb of Atlanta, and I would say that I don't usually go to Atlanta (it's only 30-40 minutes away), but my mom works there so she goes every day.

^^ Dude, even I know that. Detroit is funny in a black comedy kind of way.

Five days a week for the foreseeable future. Why can't I find a job with growth opportunities less than 20 miles from home?

^^^ Hey, I said I was ignorant. No need to rub it in.
@Bur: Are you unable to move closer to your job?

Although the emphasis in these maps is racial segregation, they will give you some idea how conditions are different within the city vs. the suburbs.

@Ivy Not entirely, but there'd be consequences. In order to afford grad school without being up to my eyeballs in loans I'm living with my parents. I'd rather finish through this school thing without loads of debt than have to travel less. smile It's still a pain in the ass drive, though. [lol]
