Coming in 2012.

Give them credit - they're constantly improving the game. Maybe 2012 it'll go from average to pretty good.

My friend has been playing TW 2. He does like the game, although he agrees that the first game was quite bad. TW 2 even seems to make fun of the previous game quite a bit, particularly in one part where a guy speaks in Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe and the protagonist looks at him like he's crazy.

You have to work to enjoy Two Worlds II. It still gets a lot of stuff wrong, but the devs have some determination. I sat in with them last year at E3 and they really, really want to get the game right. This isn't a matter of money to them. They have a vision and fuck it all, they want to get it right.

All i want to know is if they're using the same magic system in the sequel. Making anvils fall from the sky is just AWESOME.

...I really need to start playing again.

They'll take everything right and keep it, like they did with TW 2.

Unusual for a devoloper the first game was a fail so they decide to make another one to improve it which it does but not spectacularly THEN THEY MAKE ANOTHER ONE to improve it some more... This is how sequels should be developed

rented 2 a bit ago, god, don't try to play this game when you've been up for 30+ hours. I couldn't even figure out how to put an item in the bloody chest.

Hell, continuous improvement is the closest we'll ever get to true perfection. I say go for it, Topware.

And at least this time there won't be as many jokes about the title.

Still discussing Two Worlds II since, bets I can tell, the third game didn't come out in 2012 and I haven't found any updates. Fun enough game, although the tendency to crash every 10 minutes or so brings back memories of playing Daggerfall.

It's gotten more stable, not certain I remember what I changed. The game was a bit clunky at first, with me surviving encounters with wild animals largely by exploiting level geometry. By level 10 or so, I had good enough equipment and skills to be able to hold my own. I'm really digging the versatile magic system and the ability to automatically break down junk weapons into materials to improve the main weapon.

I thought the first Two Worlds was something of an under appreciated gem, at least on PC with many of the bugs and other issues fixed. Two Worlds II seems like an improvement in every way except for the sandbox aspect which seems more limited than before.

Still rather enjoying this one, although I've come upon one of the quests where nothing seems to happen and the walkthroughs say that it can never be completed due to a bug.

Mild necro, but in my defense, the company did it first. It looks like Two Worlds III will be out sometimes in 2018-2019 but they released Call of the Tenebrae as both DLC and a standalone game in June of 2017. I haven't picked it up myself, waiting for the price to drop. GOG.com had a good price on it, but I picked up my initial copy of Two Worlds II off of Steam through a Humble Bundle, so no dice.

I did pick up a copy of the first game. It's not as bad as I expected. No, really, I'm actually having fun with it despite the lackluster voice-acting and the somewhat uneven gameplay (as one guide indicated, you really have to start out the game dumping all of your stat upgrades into Strength and Vitality, and using melee, moving to magic and archery at higher levels). The permanent stat upgrades aren't that big of a deal because ingredients are rare enough that they don't really outpace the improvement from leveling up. Armor is getting more and more useless with magic items with high Physical Protection often being cheaper and easier to find, but that kind of fits in-genre. Running into a few little bugs with quests and it is a bit annoying how many quests have an indication of location when you get them, but no marker for that destination, and no description of where to go in the quest description.

Oh, and the music in the first game is quite epic! There were times when I found myself wondering whether I was playing Two Worlds or a Star Wars game.
