So here's yet another way TV Tropes Has Ruined My Life: I've been wasting an inordinate amount of time listening to selections from Crowning Music/Anime, then clicking on the 20-or-so Youtube links to related songs... and so on, and so forth. Naturally, I ran into a fair number of covers along the way - it seems as though artistes have a tendency to cross-cover at their communal concerts, with varying degrees of success. (Also, Rinbu Revolution's been covered by everyone and their mother by now, but I digress.)

Anyway, as the title suggests, this is a thread for covers/collaborations/rearrangements of anime songs. Any song with different vocalists, arrangements or instrumentation from the original releases will do, but you get bonus points (assuming the points meant anything in the first place) if they're awesome.

Here're a few to kick things off. Note that I'm currently fanboying over Yuki Kajiura's harem (I'm a sucker for good harmony and cute girls), so you can guess where most of the examples are from.

(Backup link in case the above fails.)

So, post away!

Indeed, but I think Minori Chihara still comes out on top. And as a bonus, her duet with Masami Okui at Animelo 2009.

Shangri-la
JAM Project
DO WANT.

As for a contribution of my own... Pegasus Fantasy has been covered to hell and back, but if I were to pick a version of it, it'd probably be the one with both Nobuo Yamada and Masaaki Endoh singing.
