Uggh, comparing it to youtube doesn't do anything for its case.
I'm not arguing for its case, I'm just saying, we're already halfway there.

Not if somebody else films you or uploads photos and tags you in them.
Well, technically you can opt out of the latter IIRC, but it's a hassle.

Shows what you know, there are about two dozen videos of me on youtube performing inane activities, none were taken with my consent or knowledge, and Youtube will take none of them down.

When I say inane activities I mean inane activities.
The only one that qualifies as something quasi-embarassing is one of me licking a lollipop.
The others are things like me doing classwork, and one is just a minute and a half of me standing against a wall.

I think an open surveillance society would be more directly comparable to YouTube and Facebook than TV Tropes.
