I think the Gilligan's one is all right. We should keep looking, but you do get the ET vibes there even if you're oblivious about the show.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.I'm still okay with Sudowoodo as a visual pun.
First key to interpreting a work: Things mean things.Bump.
First key to interpreting a work: Things mean things.I vote Gilligan's Island, or no pic. Sorry, guys - weirdly shaped trees aren't gonna cut it.
Things of mine keep getting deleted. I curse too much.Clock is set.
Not at all keen on the Gilligans Island pic. I find the specifics of the theory distracting, particularly the way it's presented as fact not speculation. Perhaps, in-work, that's the reality. Those who don't know the work could get the impression those specifics were the trope. Vote for no pic at this stage.
I'd be fine with no pic myself.
I've never seen Gilligans Island, so I don't really understand how that comic is an example of this.
But I'm not sure how we're going to come up with a picture that doesn't rely on knowledge of the series being speculated about. Maybe if the theory isn't about a work, but some sort of natural phenomena or common object?
Be not afraid...I object to both Gilligan's Island and that pokemon; I don't think either of them demonstrates the trope well to the average reader.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight! The clock is up. The overall consensus is against the Gilligan webcomic pic, so it's pulled. We can start a new thread if people want to have it back. No further action is to be taken based on this thread.
A really really complex plot event chart would be good (Like this◊ but for plot.) or we could use the Ive Gone Crosseyed Austin Powers meme.
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!
