-the Electrode begins sparking again, preparing to attack. Hermes's teeth glow as he runs forward to use Super Fang. As he approaches, the Electrode's eyes snap open and he charges Hermes, covered in electricity-
-suddenly, Hermes freezes and his eyes go wide. He shrinks back from the advancing Electrode and starts hyperventilating, fur pressed close to his body and he appears to shrink. He takes a few steps back, then let's out an eerie wail, turns, and sprints away, the Electrode stopping and looking confused. The surrounding crowd of young Pokemon burst out talking. Ashes stares after Hermes, wide-eyed-

-I'm sitting by a tree, watching Dana chase a bug and daydreaming when my vision is suddenly obscured by a large amount if Furret as Hermes barrels into me and wraps himself around me, burying his face in my shoulder and whimpering-
... Hermes? What's wrong? What happened?

-Oh no...-
Hermes: <Crewe, I... I... died. I'm dead. And so is Arrow, and Buddy, and Lydia, and Dennis, and -hic- Ashes.>
-I hug him tightly and he presses himself closer to me, trembling and making quiet crying sounds-

-we sit like this for a minute, then Hermes takes a deep, shuddering breath and looks up-
