Colt and Ammy’s gaze slowly shifted over to Pent(?) but only Ammy’s head would noticably turn as Colt kept his peeking hidden behind an illusion that he was always looking forward. Somewhat understanding the appeal of keeping silent, he did so despite the fact that his illusory fursuit technically had an operable jaw.

“So,” Amaterasu started, grasping for a sentence topic. “... why Mimikyu?” She ultimately decided on.

Shaun: "That's fair."

-He inspects the knife.-

Shaun: "I appreciate the sentiment, at least. I really don't like how cute they made him."

The Mysterious Woman™ is currently trying to stifle a laugh at the notion of 'From Space With Love' being mentioned in a positive way in any way, shape, or form.

Lucius would possibly hear a harmonizing hum, as beside him are a group of Lucius Cosplayers, who proceed to sing a song about how Lucius is a traitor to the J-Team, a betrayer of ideals, rather short sighted with a long distance relationship to reality and common sense, and finally, rather easy to pick on.

Conducting the singing chorus appears to be a Kalosian individual, rather androgynous in appearance, with a pink outfit that looks like a open 3 piece suit, who almost seems to shimmer like a gem when the light catches them.

"Excellent work everyone! I was happy to conduct! Though I don't know why you asked me to do so!"

The cosplayers proceed to dance off to a jaunty upbeat chiptune similar to a old song.

The individual looks over at Lucius, "Oh hey! What's up?"

Gaia: Ah, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I was simply curious about the subject matter.

-Lucius flails at Lucina. It's hard to manage with just one arm, but he manages it.-

Lucius: Oh come on! I've been on-and-off with them for the last six years! That's gotta count for something, right? And who the hell is Elizabeth anyw...

-He trails off as he hears the sound of the Luciuian quartet singing, and turns to face the androgynous figure leading them.-

Lucius: ...What's up? Um... how about me, because despite all the slander you might've been singing, I am soaring right now. Never better, lifewise. Also, uh... I'm up because I'd like to ask for your number? No, wait, that doesn't sound right at all. Sorry, I was trying to think of a way to make that seem like a smooth transition, and I just couldn't.

Denali smiled and stepped over to Lucius, it became pretty clear how big the height difference was, "And really? Slander? You mean you didn't join a team that wanted to use chemical weaponry on a god of a local population, leaving the J-Team who had to preform a raid to get the stuff?"

For some strange reason, there was a table and a chair, Denali sat down, cheeks in their hands as they stared smugly at Lucius, "Tell me... Do you always make the right and moral choices that lead to a healthy body that isn't missing a limb?"

-Gaia nods at Kai.-

Gaia: Understandable. After all, much of the appeal of creating a persona is in seeing how people react to it, and observing the development of the mythology they build around it. Not that I as a simple hobbyist would know anything about that, of course.

-She smiles again beneath her mask.-

Gaia: Yours is an unusual choice of costume, though. I have to wonder what brought you here.

-A rather taken aback Lucius blinks at Denali, his expression akin to that of someone who's just realised he's on a reality show and is being filmed constantly.-

Lucius: I, um... well, if I'm being honest, no, I don't always make the right choices. In fact I'm pretty sure I make the wrong choices a lot of the time, but... someone's gotta make those choices, right? Someone's gotta draw the line and say "no, this is the thing we can't do". And I know I'm not good at drawing that line, but if no-one else is drawing it, then... hey, I can afford to get hurt. I'm good at that, at least.

Kai: Oh my gods, I thought we'd dropped the "pretending to be cosplayer versions of ourselves" bit. You're really getting into this, Alice.

Kai: R-right. Okay, um, let's... okay, here's the plan, we don't mess with this for the time being, but in exchange, you don't mess with it either, so we can get our friend to pick it up properly. With any luck, it getting tossed to this world didn't leave some horrible curse on it. I'm gonna depend on Corrin's luck rather than my own for that part. Let's just carry on like this entire room doesn't exist, shall we?

Myrte: Yes! Leave! Please!

-Myrte squeaks-

Denali started to laugh, "Someone has to make those choices? Really? What kind of self destructive bullshit has been fed to you! "I can afford to get hurt", wow, just wow. Someone did a number on you."

Denali stopped laughing and just grinned, for a instant, their face seemed to ripple as if a illusion was being disturbed, but it quickly passed, "Friend. Let me tell you, that's a load of crap, about the only valid thing said so far is "I'm a idiot". Wanna know how you draw the line? You talk to the people around you, discuss what you feel, and if it doesn't work, you take it with grace."

Gem hands appeared and started sarcastically clapping, "Lucius, Lucius, Lucius... Honestly roasting you is no fun, and not because it's too easy."

Denali stopped smiling and sighed, "Nobody needs to make the wrong choices, sometimes, people do, whether by short sighted ignorance, impulsive anger, or just being at the wrong place with the wrong info at the wrong time. But saying you need to, just makes me worried you have a martydom complex, that makes you think you can only fix things if you get yourself seriously hurt, or worse."

Denali looked Lucius straight in the eye, the table and chair mysteriously gone, "Do you want that?"

-Gaia clasps a hand to her chest.-

Gaia: Alice? What could possibly make you assume you were talking to her? It's as you said, Alice would not be caught dead entering into such an elaborate web of deception for no purpose other than amusement. This is simply a mutual appreciation of aesthetic and craftsmanship, nothing more.

-Lucius is suddenly very aware that there is no longer a crowd around him, or at least none that he can perceive - there's just Delali, their piercing gaze cutting right through him.-

Lucius: ...No! No, of course not! But if there's no better option... if there's not... look, I just wanna help my friends, okay? I... they didn't realise that they were being used by bad people. Or at least, that's what I thought when I joined Iron. Now that I'm standing here with one arm, I reckon I might've fallen into the same trap they did... but I don't want them to make those mistakes again. I can make those mistakes, if they need me to.

Denali's glare cut like diamonds as they continued, "No. No you can't. I've heard, you've died once before, and I only know one man here who can afford to die over and over again."

Denali conjured up a reflective gem, showing Lucius, but there were... little imperfections in the reflection, bits and details.

"And what have your friends done that makes you think they're being used, what could they possibly be doing or what could have happened that makes you think that? Is it truly what you think it is, or is it your own impulsive self that has thought that?"

-Yeah, no, Kai's laughing. Look what you made her do. She can't help it.-

Kai: Oh my gosh, of course. How could I be so foolish? I'm so fortunate I didn't share any of my deep, dark secrets with you in a case of mistaken identity.

-Despite herself, Gaia giggles. Yes, a giggle. You'd better hope that doesn't get uploaded anywhere, because if so, she will find you.-

Gaia: Indeed. How could you have been so careless? I expected better from such a perfect actress, mimicking every mannerism of Kai's so perfectly, but it seems you have been both deceived and exposed in a single fell swoop.

-She smiles behind her mask as she leans against the stall behind her.-

Gaia: Perhaps this is the point in the comics where I should reveal my alligence to villainy, and begin making my demands.

-Lucius tries to take a step towards Denali, before realising that he might as well be trying to walk through resin.-

Lucius: It... it's the fact that they're wrong! Because if they're not wrong, then I'm wrong, and I... I...

-He stops, and slumps backwards against a pillar.-

Lucius: ...I can't pretend I know what's right anymore...

Denali took a sigh and took a sip of tea, finding it displeasing, broke out the wine bottle.

"Okay, so, you claimed they were wrong, because if they aren't then you are wrong. Wrong about what, that's what we're here to cover Lucius, what could they possibly be wrong about, and what are you so worried about? We're almost there."

Their tone wasn't harsh but it wasn't exactly sugarcoating anything, sort of a mix between concern and care, blended with disappointment.

Denali didn't like doing this, but someone had to be the push, and if Denali was a bad guy, or hated by Lucius afterwards, that was fine, they could only hope that Lucius came out of this better.

Maggie: "Ah... Well, good he's taken care of now, at least..."

Tale: <I'm Tale. Nice to meet you, Mako.>

Kai: How nefarious! Taking the guise of a retired hero in order to perpetuate your own dastardly desires? Who could possibly stop such a horribly evil plot?

Brie: Actually, I—

Halcyon: <Agreed.>

-...-

-Brie sighs-

Brie: Alright. Um, Kai, do we want to...go back into the part of the castle that does exist, or...?

Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.

-Gaia is also laughing, which does somewhat detract from her attempts at deadpan monologuing.-

Gaia: Who indeed? It seems as though the age of heroes is at an end, and innocents such as yourself are at the mercy of my foul skulduggery.

-She extends a hand.-

Gaia: Not that I have any doubts about your capacity to free yourself, but such an escape surely requires a more cinematic environment?

-Lucius looks up at Denali, his eyes wet.-

Lucius: ...What if I'm the bad guy? What if everything I did, every effort to try and make the world a better place... what if it only made things worse?
