He's that guy from the J-Team Show who, um...wait, the J-Team Show is a bunch of creepy but still weirdly inaccurate garbage...

Megan: ...Um, Tagg is one of the really early J-Team members, right?

Yangverse — Hoenn

-Paula Jaide.-

-A contender from Kalos, left for Hoenn and joined the competitive scene to try to make a name for herself without the weight of her family name. She could have easily stayed pampered among nobility with her parents and sister, but she wanted to forge her own path instead.-

-A touching story, to be sure. Admirable, respectable, inspiring. But this story isn't hers, now, is it?-

-A hand swipes across a Rotom Dex screen to pull up the trainer's registered team. No type specialty, no thematic elements. Mostly physically-based Pokemon, that's something worth noting at least, but if anything it's out of coincidence rather than specialization. Coming up with a battle plan for tomorrow's tournament match against this Paula girl should be simple.-

-The woman, dressed in a white and gold coat, with brilliant amethyst eyes, waves for her Rotom to switch to her PC boxes, particularly her Battle Box with her current registered tournament team. This was going to be—

-Hold on, back up. Box 3.-

Sarah: ...How did a Zoroark get in there?

-She withdraws the Zoroark in question.-

-the Pheromosa turns around and notices a Klefki and a Liepard in its path-

Mezzo: No way am I letting you pick me up again.

Felis: <That's right, bug girl. You don't get to touch her anymore.>

Felis: <Go on, just try it. I'll snap you in half like a—>

-Felis' lecture is interrupted by a swift kick which sends him flying into a wall-

Felis: <I meant to do that.>

-Pianis winces-

Mezzo: Uuuugh. It just had to be a Bug type, didn't it.

D bursts in, dressed to the nines in a sleek blue suit, with a gold chain hanging off his vest and into his pocket as well as a matching hat.

Ever: Crap, okay, it can boost itself? Well, let's try taking that way. Access, Thunder Wave!

Access: <I just saw that thing kick Felis into a wall, I'm not about to fight it.>

Ever: Sure you are, because otherwise it will probably also kick you into a wall.

Access: <...You drive a hard bargain.>

-she points a key at the Pheromosa, firing a jolt of electricity at it-

All: (to Pianis) Uh, should we...help?

Dewford

Channah: Okay. What'd you say? Mallville?

Ever might get another text from Glöckchen containing only the sound of a bell ringing.

-the Pheromosa is zapped, and shakes its head in irritation-

-it then retaliates against Access by attacking with a Triple Kick-

-Mezzo sends out Sunny-

Sunny: <Hi! What's going on?>

Mezzo: Bug thing. Do something about it.

Sunny: <Um, okay.>

Sunny: <Hey, bug lady thing! Look over here!>

Pianis: I... think they're doing okay. And I really don't want to get kicked by that thing again.

-To Channah-

Well you know Mauville looks mostly like a giant mall these days thanks to Wattson's upgrade, so I've taken to calling it Mallville. Lame joke, I know.

Ever: Wait, what?

Access: <Ow! Ow ow!>

-she goes skidding back, staring at the ceiling, looking about ready to pass out-

Ever: ...That's super annoying.

Access: <Try living it!>

Ever: Um...maybe let's work on lowering that power. Play Rough!

Access: <Must I?>

Ever: Kind of!

Access: <...Fine.>

-she skitters forward, scratching at the Pheromosa with her keys in a manner that inclines one to hit less hard-

All: Alright, I didn't really want to help out anyway.

Channah: Nah, it makes sense. I think it's an eyesore but if they like it, eh.

Sunny: <Awww! You and Ever are fighting by each other's side!>

Mezzo: Not the time! Focus! It's gonna move first, so brace yourself, then use Payback.

Sunny: <Right!>

-the Pheromosa leaps upward, then strikes Sunny from above with a single foot-

Sunny: <Yeaaowch!>

-Sunny immediately collapses to the floor-

Sunny: <Sorry, but I tried my hardest...>

Mezzo: Are you kidding me?

-it is then struck by Access' Play Rough, and collapses to the floor gracefully-

Mezzo: ...Wait, what?

-Ever stares-

Ever: So, what, it can take out Sunny in one good hit, but it drops to one Play Rough?

Access: <Thank you for your faith in my capabilities.>

Ever: Nothing against you, Access, but...what? Also, Sunny, are you alright?

Sunny: <Um, I can't battle anymore but I think I'm all right... that really hurt, though.>

Felis: <Tell me about it, runt.>

Mezzo: Talk about a glass cannon.

Pianis: Are you guys all right?

-Ever pats Sunny-

Access: <Yeah, I'm gonna go right ahead and clock out too.>

-she recalls herself-

Ever: That was super weird...but yeah, I think I'm fine. Kind of embarrassed mostly; I don't generally get picked up by random bugs. You okay, Mezzo?

All: -grumbles-

I don't know, my own feelings on the change are mildly mixed myself but, question?

-Pulling out an Ultra Ball from seemingly nowhere-

I realize teleportation kinda disorients you, so it might not be a good idea to try that again if we don't have to, but have you ever ridden on a Salamence before?

Mezzo: What should we do with it, though?

Pianis: Leave it be?

Mezzo: Yeah, and then what happens when it wakes up and tries to capture me again?

Pianis: I don't know. Catch it? Call someone else about it?

Channah: Uh, never, but I could. Draca, right? -nods at the ball-

Ever: Get a big camouflaged blanket, cover it, and tell the guys running the trains that we solved the problem?

All: ...And I'm the creepy one?

Ever: (shrugs) Just a thought. I suppose we could catch it, but unless it starts spraying Ice Beams it doesn't seem to match anyone else's typing themes, and I don't know how I feel about training a mon that I can't speak to, who could probably take out most of my team, and who wants to kidnap Mezzo and I.

-Polly looks through the official video archives-

-Hm. The architecture and, more importantly, plants outside, felt distinctly different from Unova. A pity. She'd barely gotten back to her home region, or a version of it anyways. Her secret plan to meet her duplicate, foiled!-

-On the other hand, her secret plan to get these DNA Splicers away from Mobius was a success! And Kai's secret plan to meet her duplicate... well, she was conjecturing as to Kai's motives, but she'd chalk that up as a success for now because there was nobody to stop her!-

-Right. Clearly some version of Kai here, but not the one from what she decided to label the Green Universe. The region shift and lack of recognition of her made that apparent enough.-

-So, may as well establish the most important factor right now-

Zoroark Green: <Hey. Sooo... can you understand me?>

-"Homer looks through the article, and a lump form in his throat"-

-"The article talks about a strange Pokémon, which attack melemele a few days ago. No body was hurt, and the damage was kept to a minimum, but an Umbreon had been critically injured while battling the large Pokémon. He is currently in a coma, and receiving medical care."-

Homer, trying his best to sound like an adult in this situation: You, two, it's time to leave!

wild cubone: <Aww, five more minutes, please human?>

Melinoe, noticing Homers voice: <Now child>

-"The cubone gives a sad sigh, and claims off the jungle gym. The three start for the Lush jungle"-

Homer, in his head: There's a one in a million chance... but still, I hope it's not you Anubis

Mezzo: Yeah, I'm with Ever on that.

Pianis: Well, we have to do something. Tell the train people about it?
