Silas motioned for everyone to get to their fighters, just as out of the big wormhole came the beast. He stared in shock as the great metallic green flew out with a majesty and grace, as if Space was just the air itself.

It let out another roar.

ANCIENT BIOWEAPON - MEGA-RAYQUAZA Y

A large metallic Rayquaza flew before them, it seemed almost more organic than the last giant beast they had to fight. It's segmented armor also seemed to have joints or locks.

"Okay we're doomed," Silas mumbled.

Lyra: "Hey Trainwreck, any chance we could get some help from Palkia?"

-She teleports to her fighter and runs through a preflight check.-

Orbital Colony 13

Alyesha: "Weeeeell... sh*t"

She quickly ran to her fighter as well, launching as fast as possible

Alyesha: "If we survive this... I don't even know what I want then..."

Zone 4, Orbital Station

Phaz: "...No. We are not. Silas! If this thing was assembled once, we'll break it apart!"

He rushes to his fighter.

"I'm taking care of this! Anyone with me?"

-Satified, Lyra prepares to launch.-

Lyra: "You know it!"

-She hears Silas.-

Lyra: "We'll split into two squadrons. Who feels comfortable going on foot?"

-Sitting around after another day of training-

...I think this would mark about ten years since the PEFE has been a thing, but we haven't done any celebrations or anything.

Muddy: <It's really something, right?>

-Shaun is standing inside, waiting nervously. Outside, his team is watching, with the exception of Tsumami, who's in her ball.-

Jessica: <There she is!>

-She removes her eyes from a pair of binoculars and points to a redheaded girl.-

Ruby: <Oh, his first date. They really do grow up fast.>

Lightning: <Oh, I help this goes well.>

Jessica: <Remind me, what do we know about her? Besides her excellent hair color.>

Ace: <Her name's Rose. Rose Hiraiko. She's a trainer but mainly does contests, which is where they met. Shaun got her number, they chatted a bit.>

Ruby: "And here we are."

-From a distance, they see her walk in and talk to Shaun. They make their way to a table.-

Jessica: <Ooh, I hope this goes well!>

Inside

Shaun: "So, um, Rose..."

Rose: "Yes Shaun?"

Shaun: "Have you ever...gone on a date before?"

Rose: "A few times. Guys saw me at contests and asked for a date. Girls too, but I'm not that kind of girl."

Oh joy.

Shaun: "Huh. So, what got you interested in contests?"

Rose: "Oh, living in Hearthrome, they're a part of life. When I was a little girl, I always saw them and admired those who did it. And what got you interested in being a trainer?"

Shaun: "Well, my godfather was...technically is a trainer. I was his apprentice. I was being shown how to be a breeder, but I wanted adventure."

Rose: "Interesting."

-They continue to chat.-

Outside Again

Jessica: <Looks like it's going well.>

Ruby: <Ah, young love...>

Ace: <It's nice.>

Lightning: <I just have this nagging feeling...>

Inside Again

Shaun: "Well, I'm glad we aren't required to battle to eat."

-As if this whole event was orchestrated by a strange being who controlled everything that happened in these memories, the Waitress comes up to take their orders.-

Waitress: "Sorry for taking so long; we're busy tonight. What can I get you two?"

Rose: "I'll have the vegetable soup and a glass of lemonade."

Shaun: "I think I'll have a bacon cheeseburger with fries and a chocolate shake."

-Rose stares at Shaun, horrified, but silent.-

Waitress: "Sure thing! I'll be right back with your drinks."

-She leaves, and Shaun notices the look on Rose's face.-

Shaun: "What?"

Rose:"Did you just...order a bacon cheeseburger and chocolate shake?"

Shaun: "Um, yes..."

Rose: "So...meat and dairy?"

Outside

Jessica: <Uh-oh. I din't know what they're saying but it doesn't look good.>

Inside

Shaun: "Yes, that is what a bacon cheeseburger and a milkshake contain."

Rose: "So you...aren't vegan?"

Shaun: "No. I've considered it, but if my team eats meat, then I'll eat it too. Is that a problem?"

Rose: "Yes, it is. I'm a member of PETP, and you're contributing to Pokémon cruelty! I'm sorry, but I can't date someone who eats meat!"

-She storms out. Shaun sits there, shocked and suprised. The waitress walks over.-

Waitress: "Here's your lemon...ade."

Shaun: "Can I cancel my order please? I'll pay for the lemonade and the shake, but you can have them or give them to someone else."

Waitress: "Of course. I'm sorry, hun."

Outside

-Shaun exits, head hung. His team is outside, looking sympathetic.-

Shaun: "See that?"

Ace: <Yes.>

Ruby: <What happened?>

Shaun: "She was upset that I wasn't vegan."

Ace: <That...sucks.>

Jessica: <Yeah!>

Shaun: "Mmhmm...can we just go home?"

Ace: <Of course."

Hokulani Observatory — Sometime in the recent past

-Once again, we cut to the middle of a trial. On one side, a Vikavolt carrying a Charjabug, electricity crackling around the duo. On the other, Scarlette, with most of her team already knocked out. All that remains is Gus. On the sidelines, Rose is watching, biting her nails in anticipation.-

Scarlette: Gus, new plan! We can't let it keep getting off such powerful shots, so we're gonna have to play a game of keepaway here — keep dodging, and just try to knock the Charjabug off!

Gus: <Got it!>

-Gus jumps out of the way of a Charjabeam Charge Beam, tossing a Rock Throw rock at the battery bug. It squeaks as the Vikavolt almost drops it, but they stick together.-

Vikavolt: <Insufficient.>

-Another Charge Beam. This one grazes Gus's tail, which isn't enough to do damage but is enough to boost the Vikavolt's already high Special Attack. The Charjabug just tenses up even more for an Iron Defense.-

Gus: <I'll just have to do more, then! I'm not gonna let anyone down!>

Scarlette: Try a Rock Tomb!

-Gus barks and launches a series of rocks at the Charjabug, which successfully dislodge it from the Vikavolt's grasp and pin it to the ground. Both bugs are disoriented enough for Gus to get in a second hit on the Charjabug, knocking it out.-

Scarlette: Yeah, one down!

-Suddenly, she tenses up as Gus is once again enveloped in a bright light. He undergoes the same transformation he did earlier in their battle with Rose, accompanied by another swirling vortex of dust around him.-

Rose: Wow... she managed to do it again, huh...

Scarlette: All right, Gus, let's finish off strong!

Gus: <Not gonna let any of your little bug friends show up again!>

-Gus kicks up the debris from his earlier attacks, and jagged rock fragments start floating in the air around the Vikavolt.-

-The Vikavolt buzzes in irritation, and fires off another Charge Beam. However, Gus's increased speed makes dodging it a breeze, and he kicks up more stones for a new Rock Tomb.-

Gus: <This is for the rest of our team!>

-The Vikavolt screeches in pain and attempts a haphazard Charge Beam as Gus keeps burying it in heavier and heavier rocks. Gus and Scarlette both wince as the beam sweeps across Gus's flank, but Gus hangs in just fine. Eventually, the rocks become too much for the Totem Pokemon to handle.-

Vikavolt: <Ugh...>

-From behind the Vikavolt, the trial captain just stares wide-eyed as the dust clears and Gus reverts back to his normal form, panting.-

Sophocles: ...What was that? Seriously, what the heck was that? I've never encountered anything like that— Lycanroc don't have any documented changeable forms, only the two different forms they could possibly take after evolving from Rockruff! This is... What just happened?

-Scarlette takes a moment to catch her breath. Gus walks back toward her, taking his usual spot near her legs.-

Scarlette: Honestly, we still haven't figured that out yet. That... that was only the second time we've ever managed to do it.

Rose: The first time was right when he evolved.

Sophocles: Hrm... this might be something for one of the Professors to help you with, I've got nothing for ya. Professor Samson specializes in Alolan Forms, but he might have something about this...

Scarlette: Right... well, we'll figure it out. Hopefully.

Tapu Village — Probably the present

-After their Hokulani trials, the two have made their ways here.-

Orbital Colony 13

Silas climbed into his delta-wing, "We'll break off, one team handles the inside of the colony, get everyone safe. Others will join me in dealing with this Rayquaza. If I've learned anything so far is that everything has a weak point, usually glowing."

He launched and headed straight for the Rayquaza, only to suddenly duck and swerve as it fired a massive beam of energy from it's mouth. "Whoa! Careful of that everyone!"

Orbital Station

Phaz dodged the laser in extremis!

Phaz: "Well, that's a thing! We should check for some weaknesses!"

And that's what he begins to do, flying around the Megaza

Alyesha this time managed to evade the beam, trying to slip past the bioweapon to get to the other invaders.

Orbital Colony 13

Sack: <Keep moving then, it seems like...>

-Sack swerves, also looking for a weak spot-

-Meanwhile, while the others are helping out, they hear a voice-

???: <Hey, some help over here?>

-The source of the voice is an Onix with a blaster, who's been surrounded by Dross combatants-

-Seeing as how four is a bigger number than two, Lyra's decided to go with Alyesha and Trainwreck.-

Lyra: ~We got you. Alyesha, you know what to do.~

-She draws her pistol and sets it to stun.-

Lyra: "HEY ASSHOLES"

-She starts taking shots at the Dross combatants.-

Alyesha did a quick strafing run of the area before landing as well

Alyesha: "Umm... why am I on the ground again? Time to change that."

And with that she quickly ran into the nearst building that was somewhat high, both weapons on shock of course.

-Lyra takes out some of the forces, but one is still standing-

Dross Operative: <You're gonna regret that!>

-She shoots at Lyra, but Trainwreck puts up a shield to protect from the blow-

-The Onix then shoots her in the back, knocking her out-

Onix: <Whew... thanks for saving me there. Those guys came out of nowhere.>

-Lyra takes out some of the forces, but one is still standing-

Dross Operative: <You're gonna regret that!>

-She shoots at Lyra, but Trainwreck puts up a shield to protect from the blow-

-The Onix then shoots her in the back, knocking her out-

Onix: <Whew... thanks for saving me there. Those guys came out of nowhere.>

Lyra: "No problem. You okay?"

Alyesha by now had reached the roof of the building, laying down and sniping dross from up there

Alyesha: "So, I'm now-" -short pause to aim and shoot- "An anthropomorphic Kabuto-" -again- "And fighting an intergalatic war-" -again- "As a mercenary sniper-" -again- "There is no one who'll believe this..."
