Kaisei: "Uh, hey, Shaun."

-He puts down the book, marking his place-

"You said Ace was ready to return the band?"

Shaun: "Yeah, here."

-He slides the band off of his arm and hands it to Kaisei/Gogie.-

Ace: <Don't really have much use for it after Konikoni.>

Gogie: "Thanks."

"But, uh, what happened in Konikoni?"

Shaun: "Uh, remember how I asked if you knew about Chaos, the second Shard of Calamity? A Glitch?"

Ace: <He attacked a few days ago.>

Shaun: "Yeah, it was me, Maggie, Phaz, and this other guy and girl."

Gogie: "...Oh. Well."

"Hopefully that went alright."

Shaun: "Well, we're here, and I still have all my limbs, so... probably. Oh, and thanks for this little guy."

-He nods to the egg in his arms.-

Kaisei: "Yeah, I noticed that. That's good."

"And, uh, yeah, you're welcome..."

Route 8

-The Tyranitar are barraged by the attacks. One of them is force to a knee.-

Balaclava Lead: Three... two...

-All of the hoodlums clump together as a tall boy with bright red hair and brilliant purple eyes is teleported in by an Elgyem.-

???Arsenic: ~I'll turn your world... UPSIDE DOWN!~

-There's a brilliant flash of light from the Elgyem followed by a sudden lurch as if the world itself decided to do backflips. The party of invaders departs in the chaos with a blip.-

-Doomsday, meanwhile, has stumbled and dropped Ludmilla. The Chansey barely has time to get to a bush before her stomach contents empty.-

Dreamscape

-The ground under Ludmilla shatters, and she soon falls through the hole in the dream into a nothing. Black, white, and many colors invisible to the normal eye fly past before she can regain her concentration. She snatches a nearby strand of Irrigo and follows the color of forgetfulness to a bubble of Narat, where she jumps in and uses the color of schadenfreude to catapult herself back to the waking world.-

Route 8

-Ludmilla lurches awake before immediately noticing that her back hurts, as if somebody had accidentally dropped her.-

Punk Guy: "...Who are-"

-world spinning-

"...Blugh, don't want to have to deal with that again."

Morelull: <Let's do that again!>

Ace: <I'm gonna go see if they have any good audiobooks.>

Shaun: "Alright. Let me know if you find anything good."

-Ace heads off.-

Shaun: "On that subject, what're you reading, Kai?"

Kaisei: "Uh"

-He holds up the book, which looks to be Roald Dahl's The BFG-

Kaisei: "A friend of mine who was helping me learn how to read showed me these books, so I kind of have a soft spot for them."

Route 8, past

-Vertigo-

Ugh... Need someone with Mean Look for next time, and the psychic nullifier.

-Immediately moves towards Doomsday and Ludmilla-

Outside the Ruins of Life, today

-Angrily pacing-

Last week was such a pain in the ass. Chaos, the School...

Shaun: "Oh, that's a good book. I've read a lot of fiction, but I think I'll be looking for stuff related to myths and science here."

-Olivia walks up to Tagg as he's pacing-

Olivia: "Hello there, sounds like you're a bit burnt up about something?"

Kaisei: "Ah, that's fair. What sort of stuff are you looking for?"

Route 8

-Ludmilla rolls a bit before sitting up, she winces and massages her back. Doomsday, meanwhile, is lying flat on the ground, taking deep measured breaths.-

Ludmilla: Uuuugh... I got lucky... Beryllium almost...

-She looks around and sees the general nausea of the people around her.-

Ludmilla: ... Oh no, they sent Arsenic too?!

Doomsday: <They're gone. Thankfully. Uuuuuuuugh... I want off Mr. Psychic's wild ride...>

Shaun: "Mainly stuff about the legendaries and new tech. I really don't know much about Solgaleo, Lunala, and the Tapu. I'd also like to see if there's anything on the Ultra Beasts."

-To Ludmilla-

Are they all named after elements of the periodic table?

-Stops-

It's a long story, but perhaps I'll feel less burnt up after a battle, Kahuna Olivia.

Swift: Oh, Tagg says (5:20:15 PM) Tagg: He probably won't find much on the U Bs (5:20:29 PM) Tagg: Besides *maybe* Nihilego.

-The Punk Guy, seeing Ludmilla and Tagg talking, tries going over to them-

Punk Guy: "Hey, you know what was up with those guys, anyway?"

Kaisei: "Ah, fair. Good luck."

Olivia: "Heh. Fair enough. Let's begin, then!"

-She sends out a Boldore-
