Jack: Well, there's this J-Team member, Samantha. Don't know if you know her or not, but she got kidnapped by this guy named Lazarus. Anyway, Lazarus was holding her in this abandoned mansion and told the J-Team where to find her. It was obviously a trap, but the team didn't really have a choice. So we went there and found her, but then he sealed off the mansion and filled the room where most of the team members were with knockout gas. Fortunately, I and a few other members weren't in the room, so we were able to break through the doors before anything serious happened to them. Then we teleported here and, well, that's the story.

Shun: That does little to change the fact that information provided by the criminal themselves is almost certain to be misleading, and acting upon it is downright dangerous. You should have waited until you had access to facts from a verifiable source before taking such risks.

Shun: Having said that... the safety of the victim is paramount, and you succeeded in returning her without any further harm done. That warrants congratulations.
He turns to Rebecca.
Shun: I'm a detective with the International Police. Asking questions is my job.

Shun: ...I would cite that as a reason to leave such matters in the hands of professionals, but I'm aware that we're spread too thinly for that to be a viable option much of the time. Sometimes ordinary people have to stand up for the truth when nobody else will.
He looks up at Sarah.
Shun: I refuse to be nothing more than a bystander again, however. You have my support should you ever need to call upon it. The world can be a dangerous place, and alone I can do little to change that, but there is always safety in numbers.
