Rex uses his tail and breaks two large chunks of rock off the volcano wall.
"Olive, I need you."
<Yes daddy?>
"User razor leaf and cut these slabs into large rock surfboards please." <Sure>
Olive uses her leaves of sharpness to create two pristine boards of rock light enought to carry, but durable enough to ride on.
"Everybody return. So Jack, you up for a race down the mountain?"

Deziree: So, uh, I accidentally created a tiiiiiiiny little rip in the interdimensional membrane...
Dune: It was the size of a coffee table.
Deziree: And we got pulled into a world where things were... kinda wet.
Dune: The land masses had been inverted, so what we're standing on right now was several dozen feet underwater.
Deziree: It took me a day or so to fix up a solution...
Dune: She replicated the effect of the rip with coconuts and palm tree bark.

Yeah, I know. That's where the amulet comes into things. The amulet can do stuff that seems to violate the conservation of matter, but it doesn't really. It's got an internalized subdimensional pocket of generic matter that it pulls from in order to induce transformations that require flesh that can't just be shunted from elsewhere.

Problem being I don't know how much it has so I don't know if Eskay's little mitosis drained it or not.
It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.
