Sorry to change the subject (I've been doing that a lot lately), but you know how a while ago I was complaining about not having a job? Well, since then, I've had two jobs! One of them was pretty lousy, so I quit after a month and change, but luckily, I found another one right away, and I've been feeling much better ever since!
It's a low-level administrative job at a community college. It doesn't pay as well as my last job, but the workload is manageable and it doesn't make me want to jump out a window. I'm still not in a situation where I'm able to move out on my own, but hopefully if I work hard, I'll get there soon.
Thank God!
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I'm so glad you got it
Thanks!
Why is this place so lonely all of a sudden? I miss you guys!
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I wonder what Saul/Paul of Tarsus thought when Jesus spoke to him on the road to Damascus?
Probably something like "Oh wow, the Christians were actually right about Jesus being the Messiah?" or something like that.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy. There are a lot of things in the New Testament (well, in the Old too, but the New is the one I've read most) that seem edited for time, so to speak. Paul's epiphany/conversion is one of them. Specifically, I would love to know more of how the whole event looked to his companions.

Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?That would be pretty interesting, yes.
Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.They apparently didn't get the whole conversation, so Saul would have looked like he was talking to something they couldn't understand.
What do you guys think Heaven will be like? That's something I think about when I'm feeling lost and/or lonely.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Intermediate state or the New Universe where we will spend eternity? It's a place all of your needs are met. And we will have work to do so we will not get bored. Running a utopia is hard work. I imagine maybe exploring the universe and asking lots of questions. Meeting Jesus is obviously number one, but who else would you like to meet in Heaven to talk to?
My first questions would be all about the history of the universe, including the dinosaurs.
That would be nice to know! Wonder if any of the extinct animals might be brought back to life?
I would so love extinct animals to come back to life, especially ones that were wiped out by humans.
Speaking of....
Biologos has a thought-piece on dinosaurs and heaven.
Maybe all those organisms could live on different exoplanets? Like all the Jurrassic creatures could have their own world. Without the violence and predation. So, if Jurassic World was a g-rated film.
I don't think animals have souls, but on the other hand we shouldn't take them for granted and drive animals into extinction.
See, to me, that's human chauvinism. I think the difference between humans and nonhuman animals is a difference in degree, not a difference in kind. If humans really do have souls, then I'm certain nonhuman animals have them as well.
And, frankly, if there are no dinosaurs in Heaven, then it ain't Heaven. (I feel the same way about anime characters.)
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I disagree because I would believe God would cherish humanity more than animalkind. It doesn't mean he doesn't care about creation, but he would be more concerned about human beings than animals.
Sorry, I don't feel that way at all. I don't need God to love me more than he loves an animal, nor do I see why he should. That he loves me in the first place is enough.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I am saying that treating humans and animals the same way has been a dangerous thought process. If animals are on the same level of humans, then people sometimes treasure them more than their fellow human beings.
I still don't see the problem. Love isn't a finite resource. And it's not like human beings are overly concerned about animal welfare. If anything, we're far too callous and cruel towards them, and dismissive of their needs.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?The righteous man cares for the needs of his animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel.
As a black person, I would want one word of advice do not compare animal agriculture to slavery because I have seen some vegans do that and I was not pleased is an understatement.
I don't want to invoke the Nazis, but you can have a group of people who can be great animal advocates but care little for their own fellow humans. I can't put human beings on the same level as animals, because I believe that actually leads to more callous behavior.
No one is claiming that animals should have the same rights as humans! We just want to have a pet dino in Heaven. We should care for the animalss in the sense that a pet sitter would care for some one else's pets. It does not mean you would steal the baby's food and only feed the dog if you were caring for them.

There have been discussions about evangelicals supporting this Nevada Pimp. Well, the story is more complex, because he actually isn't getting support from many evangelical leaders in contrast to many people in the evangelical base, who are permissive to this. Also the Republicans are not on board with this guy. So, this is mostly about the base which is forgoing values to win.
