So apparently that new movie Sausage Party has a strongly over anti-theistic message, and the movie itself is proving to be pretty popular right now. What are your thoughts on this as fellow Christians, since usually movies with that strong of an opinion rarely have a wide release (as far as I know)?

"Can't make an omelette without breaking some children." -BurNot really worth to give it the time of day. To be honest I don't care for it. The fact that it's the first R-Rated 3D Animated movie is it's the reason why it has that much attention.

It's Over Anakin, I have the high ground!Eh, most people I know think it looks bad for some reason or another. Religious reasons, disliking the humor, thinking that it's pretty much a 2 hour Robot Chicken sketch...
I can't bring myself to care about it, honestly.
Same. It's a trashy comedy that just happens to have good writing, I just don't think it's an anti-theistic message, unless Rogen specifically says it is.
I know nothing about that film, and from what I do hear it sounds stupid, and therefor I do not care.
So I mentioned that ASMR Bible reading idea I had here before, and earlier tonight I decided to try out reading my Bible's introduction to the Pentateuch in a soft-spoken voice. https://clyp.it/z3ap5oys
So a while ago I watched Ghostbusters 2016. One of the things that I think was a REALLY big missed opportunity of that movie (as well as the original 1984 movie) is how it didn't address the impact of discovery of the paranomality, including ghosts.
I mean, think of how Christians all over the world would react. The theological impact must be enormous! You just know that there is at least few fundamental Christian groups who would go absolutely crazy over it.

I'm guessing that there isn't a horror movie where the demon gets defeated by the characters invoking God(or a good angel if you don't want a complete curbstomp battle)? Too anticlimactic?
Admittedly, while I'm a Christian, I've never been able to enjoy movies with a religious tint to them. If a certain character is Christian/if you see a character invoking The Lord's Prayer, I'm fine. But if it's say, a film about Noah's Ark, or God himself appears in the film, or you see a character in heaven, etc. It just sucks me right out.
I think it's because I prefer to have religion as a personal thing, rather than as a plot device.
And as soon as you even bring up the possibility that God could solve the plot, well you can't really have a story then. And what would God be doing in a story that was made up? Talk about taking Only the Author Can Save Them Now to a new level. It just gets too meta-fictional. How does God's sovereignty impact our imaginations? So, the author of a story could easily defeat the villain that they made up. It would be bad story telling if they actually defeated the villain instead of making the characters do it.

Every story has a god, if you look at it that way.
Non Indicative UsernameYep! The writer. Meaning that nothing in fiction can be scary, because it really has no power to hurt you. You can just write a story where the scary thing/character gets defeated. Ta da!
What I still want to see is my people expanding influence in New Media.
Like, making their own shows and stuff. People like Good Night Kevin and K Wing have been doing it. I want to see more.
In regard to the brainless Rogan outing and talk about the alleged anti-theism, it has led me to think: has anyone satirized modern, Westernized anti-theism? A friend of mine, who I contribute voice-work for does it often.
Christians of all nations, unite!I knew someone like that, actually. He was a pastor at a local church, and I was friends with his kids. He was a lovely man. When he died, I swear the funeral was attended by nearly 1000 people from around the community. Even non-Christians came. It was touching how much people loved him and how big an impact he had.
Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.Does God really listen to us?◊

What on earth was that???
It's a Vine, I bet.
I'm sorry
