Where did that even come from, anyway, that an upside-down cross was Satanic?
Because it isn't how it's usually displayed so it must be evil.
please call me "XionKuriyama" or some variation, thanks! | What is the good deed that you can do right now?IIRC it's disrespectful to display a crucifix upside down since it's a depiction of Christ, but not a plain old cross.
Ah, okay.
Ah, right.
I wear a cross very often (a rather nice metal one) , but I've never owned a crucifix. I like to emphasise the Resurection rather than the death itself. And to be honest I think they look a little creepy...
Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.I still need to get one. Not sure if I'll get a cross or a crucifix though.
Ah, the inverted cross. Everytime I see an "edgy" person wearing one like that (or one of those "provocative" metal albums), I chuckle a bit.

Same.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I've also heard that the pentagram was meant to represent the 5 wounds of Christ, but i cant find anything to verify that. I dont like to give symbols or designs (evil or not) much "power" anyway though.
I often wonder: when was the last time Christianity was depicted in a positive light in fiction?
If it hasn't been very recent, shouldn't we make a move (i.e. make our own entertainment?).
Like, I get sick of the stereotypes of us as idiots or violent bigots.
Christians of all nations, unite!it's been a while. remember the episode of the 90s X-Men cartoon where Wolverine got converted?
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.The Vicar of Dibley did okay?
I mean, the whole village was mad, but Christianity itself was rarely made fun of (as far as I remember), and Bible stories were almost always spoken of in a very positive way. The Nativity and The Sermon on the Mount, particularly.
Of course, that's not really recent, so...
Everybody's all "Jerry's old and feeble" till they see him run down a skyscraper and hijack a helicopter mid-flight.As I don't watch TV much anymore I can't really say, myself.
Bruce Almighty is still my favorite Christain themed work of fiction.

please call me "XionKuriyama" or some variation, thanks! | What is the good deed that you can do right now? There were plans roughly 10 years ago to have Batgirl discover religion and start calling herself The Angel Of The Bat, but it was shot down by the higher ups at DC in favor of a story where she became evil and killed for amusement (which was super OOC and is generally regarded as one of DC's worst decisions in history. The storyarc they chose is now ignored by everyone, while the potential Angel storyarc is a huge What Could Have Been that some readers want to happen still.)
There was a scene in Justice League Unlimited where Amanda Waller tells Terry Mc Ginness "I have always found comfort in the Lord".
Does fictional religions based on Christianity count? Because usually the priests in the Harvest Moon series are portrayed positively, such as Alisa and Pastor Carter.
It's Over Anakin, I have the high ground!
Ayup.
I wonder if any of those type of people actually realize that.
