Oh right it's American Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving I guess.
Yep, it's Thanksgiving here xD Nothing says Thanksgiving like Cracker Barrel, which is how my family did it today
That was one of the most American sentences I've read oh this is one of those holidays where even people who don't say Grace usually say Grace at least it is with my family (I mean I imagine it's different if you are non-Christian). We just had Thanksgiving early last month so it always takes me by surprise when you mention it. So what is everybody thankful for?
Well my grandparents are old (and my grandfather got bronchitis) so we find it more practical to just go somewhere and eat lunch that way xD
I'm thankful for the family and life I've been blessed with :)

No it makes sense, it's just American holiday with American restaurant (and not one of the ones that are like everywhere in other countries)
That's good.
I am currently thankful that my bad tooth, which had been driving me insane finally quit hurting? Yeah, ate dinner yesterday like that, but it subsided. I am thankful that other people (like you non-Americans) have better dental and health services than what I have, because I don't want you to go through my pain. I'm also happy to have a fellow-geek relation over. We've been geeking and will geek all weekend.
I have lots of leftover turkey. If there was a way to make portals in the Internet, I'd share with you - and the soup-broth I'm currently making for my food-storage. Then again, I am thankful there are not portals in the Internet because I suspect that would just invite me to go on chainsaw-rampages against stupid people. Nobody wants to clean up after that.
In which I attempt to be a writer.Yeah it is nice. Though I'm not sure about the dental, dental coverage is only a thing here when you're a student (and can be part of your parent's plan if you're under 25) in a union or married. And if you are a student you are automatically part of the second group anyways and have to opt out (well college or University student I mean). But I wound up getting blind-sided because I had an accident that injured a tooth which was dental and now I have to pay for a root canal. Glad I got my wisdom teeth out when I was 17.
Yay left overs I'm going to have to wait for after Christmas for those.

This is supposed to be a month of joy, but all I'm anticipating is yet another year of pointlessly defending myself from attack. (Sigh)
There may not actually be a "War on Christmas" in politics like Republicans accuse there of being, but it sure feels like there is on the internet.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerAt this point, attacks on religion will become background noise. It's best to ignore them and focus on those who are next to us in person (family, friends, or a homeless person who would like to eat something on Christmas day).
Tis' a season to do good and be good towards those who are receptive to you (in spite of all the difficulties most of us are going through, due to the economy or the job market).
Yeah, hate is unbecoming of us but it's really hard to resist XD
Happy Advent everyone. Well it's been Advent for awhile.
