Kneetoe throws the best parties tho.
750ti, 8 giggles of ram, a mid-tier i7 is what I'm running this on.
Seath tanks things to 30 and coming down from 60 to 30 is no good. When I gaze at his big crystal AOE, it dips as far as 12. Engine wasn't built to support 60, and leaving it capped at 30 might have made the whole thing a lot more bearable, looking back.
He isn't hard on his own, his moveset is fine. It's the tanking performance that makes the fight plain not fun.
At the very least, From got their act together for later games. Dark Souls 2 and 3 run like butter, and don't drop frames as regularly.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018Sounds like your on PC. Dark Souls did not get a good port to PC. Granted From had never done anything like that before, but yeah, PC port is not great.
Isn't there a mod that fixes the port?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Yeah, but there are still times when the game stutters, Sen's Fortress right at the first set of swinging axes being an example for me. I didn't set my game at 60 FPS, though, so I've never really had a problem with Seath.

Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Yes. I have DS Fix installed.
I know Dark Souls PC is unpleasant, even with the fix, believe you me. It's caused me a lot of grief, though the game itsef remains stellar.
"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018Is it just me, or does the Bed of Chaos seem rather... incongruous with the rest of the bosses in the game?
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Bed of Chaos is a garbage boss, yes.
Rolling Rotted Grapefruit in III is what Bed of Chaos should've been, IMO; mind, I get that felling from a lot of the bosses in III. They're remixes that mix in what From can do when not crazy rushed and what they've learned so far. I kinda really like III's differences from 1, if it's not obvious.
Even though I literally have yet to cast a single spell in the game (only got it this January) and so have little experience with really using the FP meter.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babySo I beat the game for a second time, this time with a sorceror. The early and mid game was quite difficult because you're so squishy, but by the end I was massively overpowered. A while back I also attempted a cleric run, but I gave up at O&S because I couldn't get access to any good miracles and also killing Smough first is a real pain in the rear. I want the dragonslayer armor but Solaire seems to have a thing against Ornstein.
I tried my hand at some pvp and I was wondering what the proper dueling etiquette was. Is estus allowed (on the part of the host)? Or humanity? Should you give the opponent a chance to buff their weapon? Anything against op sorceries? I ask the last one because I once instantly obliterated the opponent with a single crystal spear & soulmass burst from full health. They even blocked.
Oh wow, just had a pretty hectic time overall. Just finished killing the Bed of Chaos, Nito and the Four Kings with relative ease; the Four Kings, especially, turned out to be much simpler than I'd initially expected, though it probably has to do with me being SL 90 on a first run. Lost about 17 humanity and 300k souls fighting the Bed of Chaos, but considering my character's pretty much finished with everything outside of maxing out every single piece of equipment, the only thing I'm kinda salty about is losing the humanity, though I have like 50 hard humanity lying about in my inventory.
I have to say, I definitely gave up on this game way too easily all those years ago when I first got it on the PS 3. Present Me just wants to smack Past Me for putting it down as being "too difficult" now. Now that I understand how the game actually works and how it's supposed to be played, I'm having a huge blast playing, the quirks and bugs that pop up now and then notwithstanding.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets.Discussion around the game didn't help. From the outside, it was people talking about how it is hard yet fair, without expounding much. Explaining how the game's general pace is super slow compared to most action games, and how combo strings and aggression mean jack shit compared to resource management and smart exploring would have done wonders for past me.
There's also the game's "unique" way of teaching the player. Lots of things are technically presented right in front of you, but most people didn't talk to NP Cs more than once, or look at item descriptions for critical progress. It's extremely "fair", but it's real different. I walkthroughed like a bitch for my first run. I'm somewhat regretful but not at all.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018@Nerevarine: Not to my knowledge, but I've never gone looking for it. Being that you can and will be invaded by someone who will kill you in an instant when all you want is someone to help you against a boss, ripping you off for the resource you spent trying to get someone to help, I'm inclined to think it does not lend itself to any particular etiquette.
That said, I have been invaded by "polite" people before, who'll, say, help clear out all the room's furniture first so people don't get stuck on stuff, bow excessively, give you stuff, and wait politely until they know you're ready to fight.
I've also been invaded by people who just ran up and killed my noob ass for being there and been gangpiled by player Forest Guardians.

i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyI just don't play online.
Part of it is because I'm a cheap jerk who doesn't want to shell for PS+ and I don't want to get ganked all the time, and partly because Souls is an intensely lonely atmospheric game to me and multiplayer kind of kills that.
Papa Wildpie's back.
Praise the fucking sun.
but HOW?Wait, you can get old red to move to Firelink???
Yes, once you've killed the Four Kings he has no real reason to stay in a deserted city that smells of rotting corpses. Of course, most people have no reason to go back and see him once the Four Kings are dealt with and miss that.

I need a new sig.I have no idea what happened there.
Pretty certain it's a speculation on how Domnhal got his very cluttered suit together, without assuming that all those golden daggers, baubels and trinkets were there in the first place.
And in the end instead of pillaging old red's corpse, he respects their self appointed grave and doesn't loot it.

That entire site is full of fantastic comics. Leagues ahead of any official licensed comics Dark Souls has put out.
but HOW?Well there's only one of those, and it's utterly terrible.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.
What brand of toaster are you running it onI don't remember the 360 having any problem with him. Nothing like Lagtown, anyway. Also Seath is probably the easiest of the Lord Soul bosses. Broom of Chaos, Five Stooges, Kneetoe... Seath ain't shit by comparison.
EDIT: Then again, the One does seem to be having frame issues now and then. :/ Forwards compatibility is never an improvement; I still remember playing Battlefront II on the 360 and it looking like shit compared to on the Xbox.
