Fight smart, not fair.Well...the They Do image is of Jean Grey and Scott Summers. Perhaps one of them in this trope to solidify them? It would have to work on its own, of course.

They didn't really do this trope. They grew together in the pre Claremont years and then realized they loved each other.
Since this is a plot related trope, it won't be easy to illustrate.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I would say an image of Ross and Rachel from Friends. It's probably one of the most notable and oft-cited example of this trope. Maybe a pic from first season Ross and Rachel and 10th season Ross and Rachel.
Not picture able unless we find a comic that specifically lampshades it
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Agreed.
Well, the previous image seem pretty accurate, showing a couple that are obviously in love, while the caption informs us they waited six years after this moment to hook up.
^Obviously in love? I can't see it at all. Are you familiar with the source?
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyUnless we find a comic which discusses this trope imageless is the best option.
There's a Shortpacked comic spoofing Batman/Superman comics where they talk about each other in internal monologues and then the character reading the comic goes "Just make out already!" that might work...I'll see if I can find it.
EDIT: Here it is.

Eeeeeeh...not really sold on that for displaying this specific trope, plus it'd be tricky to get a wiki-sized snippet out of that
#1 is very funny, but maybe too long for the page?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!when i googled the phrase "will they or won't they" this was one of the first . It's the first image on the page, the one from Glee: http://thestir.cafemom.com/entertainment/110770/10_best_will_they_or

Discussed Trope would be the best route for a trope like this. Otherwise, you'd need a montage of images about the couple in various situations.

I like the second.
Bump...any other thoughts?
Well, I say put it up, since we have no other options at this point
It's just them talking about the trope, not showing it visually at all. It would be better as a quote than an image.
This.

Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No further action is to be taken based on this thread.
What, if anything, is supposed to be going on in the picture? If anything, it looks like they're could be a happy couple. I realize that this is a hard trope is demonstrate through pictures but the current one doesn't really give us anything.
