I tried to get into Dragon Rising, but I got stuck on the third stage where you have to hold that small town against a Chinese counterattack. It was also really difficult to locate the enemy or even tell the difference between them and my squadmates due to the heavy use of color saturation. I understand that they were trying to simulate how camoflague works in real life by doing that, but since it didn't effect the AI's vision, a lot of situations popped up where the enemy would locate and accurately fire at me from more than 250 feet away while I sat there clueless as to where the hell they were hiding. And when I died, I'd find out that they were right smack in the middle of an open field, but neither me or my AI buddies could see him because the grass was the same color as the saturation hue!
All you need to do is park the AAV on high ground and use the Mk19 to take out guys in the treeline; the thermal imaging helps.
Aaaaand we're still using iron sights.....fuck.
At least they're being realistic about how fucked up or under-prepared your gear is gonna be
Is anyone else pissed that they took out multiplayer?
Looks like they're making a new Operation Flashpoint; hopefully they dealt with the issues that were in Dragon Rising. I love me some Johnny Cash.
