While characters like Goku, Naruto or Luff are applauded by some people for their simplicity, I sometimes feel that they are not really idiots at all but just out of touch. Now it this for a take that, what if I crate a hero who could care less about the problems they cause, get called out on it, utilizes heroics that are mostly accidents and suffers sometime along the road? I keep thinking Coop from Megas XLR or Juadi from Yugioh GX but that is what I was getting at.

I'm afraid I don't understand your question.

Are you asking for help in creating a character who is actually an idiot, not just merely quirky or obfuscating?

There are too many toasters in my chimney!

So, is this going to be a sort of Chance the Gardener character?

Belief or disbelief rests with you.

While I am looking to create a reckless hero who gets called out on his actions, has this been done before?

I think in your first post, you mean "who couldn't care less" instead of "who could care less."

It sounds like a great idea so long as this character has good or neutral intentions like Dennis the Menace or so long as this character suffers consequences of his/her own actions too like Eric Cartman, Shake (Aqua Teen Hunger Force), or Charlie and Allen (Two and a Half Men).

Ha, Megas XLR was a great show! Another good idiot hero is the Tick (from the show of the same name).

My Ideas only need to make sense to me; even if the idea in question involves other people!
