So Nitro are ancient evil aliens that terrorize planets to make them more tasty. And NEO is one of their livestock that got out of control. Freaky.

Does anyone else think that the Toriko anime should get a second chance?

Like, instead of Toei, have Ufotable, the guys who did the original OVA, or Madhouse animate it instead?

Don't know, never watched the first one. I heard it was pretty bad but people say that about basically every anime that was sort of long running anyway.

Hunter X Hunter anime was done by madhouse, and most people say that it stayed consistent in its animation compared to other Shonen of a similar length.

The Toei anime was censored far too much, I have been told there was no blood (I believe this may have changed at some point, though). Madhouse seem like a good fit for Toriko's style, but while their Hunter X Hunter adaptation was done with a lot of care, they also toned down a lot of the violence and Toriko is a very gory series so that might fall into a similar problem as the first anime. Of course, the first anime also had lower production values so it'd at least be an improvement.

From what I hear the longrunning anime series just have far tighter standards in terms of violent content which would make any adaptation a tough sell. Which is a damn shame.

I don't remember, do we know how they got these demons in them or has that yet to be addressed? Toriko has so many infodumps in quick succession the details of them all blur together for me.

Ufotable would be a good idea as well,Maine they did that Jump Festa OVA back in 2008 (Why Shueisha went with Toei after is beyond me...)

BONES would probably be pretty good, considering Soul Eater and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

It was still pretty burtal when it wanted to be in H x H.

Like people complained that the Killua ripping a man's heart out scene was censored because he had not only used a cloth to hold it but didn't crush it. If anything it felt pretty natural that he didn't want to touch the heart of some filthy scumbag and didn't even think he was worth torturing in his final moments.

I just caught up in the manga. I kinda expected that Coco, Sunny, and Zebra would have their sidequests glossed over, given the manga's current pacing, but I really hoped that wouldn't be the case.

Coco has consistently been my favorite character since he was introduced, and I'm rather fond of the other two kings too. I was hoping they could get maybe 2-chapter story arcs apiece.

Yep. Meanwhile Toriko and the gang eat the full course they have gotten In a camping monster space, so they probably have time to tell stories.

ch 362: Toriko's original demon appears in full for the first time.

Why does Toriko even has three demons? Seems excessive.

Who knows. Apparently, Blue is scared of this thing since if it was fully unleashed toriko with 6 of the 8 acacia full course ingredients would be killed just by the damn thing fully emerging.

I was wondering that too. Everyone else seems to only have one. And he seems like he was born with the first one in him so where did the other two come from?

Maybe he got extra gourmet cells inserted into him? They did say that the nitros artificially added gourmet cells to some humans.
