Oh wow, decoded a helmet engram from Xûr and got a Light Beyond Nemesis at 310 defense value, with split int/discip roll. Mine only is at 294 and split int/strength.

@Garcon: It pulls the ammo out of you pool, not thin air, so it's not that nice.

Any tips for the Last Word in the Crucible part of Holliday's quest? I have a friend who might want The Chaperone, but isn't a big fan of Hand Cannons (personally, I'd love to get my hands on The Last Word).

It is still OP as hell at close range, and other then the damage fix it was not really nerfed.

The best tip I can give you is that you don't need to actually need to use The Last Word to kill anyone. You only need to have it equipped while you play Crucible. So if you have a special and heavy you like, feel free to favor their use instead. Another tip for Chaperone quest is that while it is a KDA thing, you can freeze the bar's progress by unequipping The Last Word. So if you're getting stomped in a game, unequip it and you won't lose 5 billion points of progress. Supposedly the quest also rewards kill streaks.

For what it's worth, I finished that part of the quest in Rift. Easy to kill people while they tunnel on the ball and flee when you're low. People are unlikely to chase you since they would rather stay near the ball spawn point. Of course, then you're THAT guy who's not playing the game type properly.

Chaperone's a fun gun to use. I really like it.

I doubt I will have time for raids this weekend. I don't expect to be home until late at night both Saturday and Sunday. I might be free Sunday night depending on when my outing finishes. We'll see. That said, the list of tropers is in my signature so feel free to get a raid going without me.

Well, in that case, who knows. I haven't used Y2 Last Word yet. Assuming it works the same way, just ADS whenever anything is not directly in your face and full auto them to death. If they are in your face, just hip fire full auto into their face.

I went from 100+ Strange Coins at the start of Taken King to now having just 4. Looks like I won't afford Xur's next visit.

Just keep doing stuff. Turn in bounties, finish quests, do strikes, anything.

I had 23 coins friday after spending them with Xur. I've already gotten ten just today.

If you pay attention you'll see coins dropping from engrams, bounties, standing still, dance emotes, loading screens..

Yeah, getting ~100 strange coins before Xur returns is pretty normal if you play daily.
