I just came back from the airport; there are sparrows living in there. Hopping around on the carpet less than a foot away from people's feet.

Be not afraid...

@IEM & Mc Tagg: Possibly a sparrow; the beak was too short for it to be a hummingbird.

♭What.

I like magpies. not your european wimpy magpies. I mean Cracticus tibicen. i like them and their ballsiness, their 'Quardle oodle ardle wardle doodle' call and they look awesome. I quite like drivingound and noticing that they change as you drive into another subspecies zone

i don't like them swooping me thoughsad

Ooh. How did I miss this thread?

My mother is a bird lover, and used to do a lot of work with raptors at a nature center back when I lived in New Jersey. That kind of rubbed off on me.

My favorite birds are crows and African grey parrots, mainly due to how ridiculously intelligent they are, and thus how interesting they are to study. I've also got quite a lot of fondness for kestrels, humming birds, and turkey vultures.

Even though it's an animatronic, I always liked the raven from the Haunted Mansion rides. Are ravens and crows related?

^^Both are members of the family Corvidae, along with a handful of other species, like jays and magpies.

^There actually is a thread for this in IJAM.
