I think that Baam is going to do a lot better than Love or any of the regulars think he will, but still not stand a chance. Remember thus far no pure shinsoo attack has harmed a hair on Baam's head so depending on how Love fights Baam may stand a chance.

Out of curiosity when did everyone start to read TOG? I remember when the teaser was translated and thinking that this looked promising.

Yeah, Love's out to eliminate Baam, so Baam can't just outright lose. Force a "draw", maybe.

I started reading right before my exams. XD Now that's how I like to procrastinate.

I caught up fairly recently, actually, I think when the latest chapter was the fourth or fifth in the chapters entitled "The Strongest Regular".

Anak... isn't really the joining kind. The closest she's actually got to feeling near somebody was likely with Baam, Hatsu and/or Androssi. And, that's it. Unless you count Green April and her parents, of course: and, the April is almost as mad as a hatter.

If she's with anybody, it's with Rachel's group still. Or maybe in a slight split from Androssi to try and cause some confusion, but still affiliated. Who knows? I'm going to wait until my favourite lizard shows herself again.

Speaking of: I'd love to know what's up with my favorite crockodile, as well. I miss him something fierce.

Y'know, I don't mind our new set of characters- I quite like a good number of them, in fact.

But I must say, I was rather hoping we'd get through floor 20 somewhat faster than we seem to be, because I really want to see what the rest of the party has been getting up to. Androssi and Hatsu have been mentioned in passing, and seem to be doing okay, but…

Well Hatsu was defeated. We don't know if that means that he is dead though. Yeah I'm really curious about what happened to the rest of the team. Koon in particular.

Talk about somebody overdue for a family reunion... I'm really looking forward to a... warm? family get-together with both the Koon Princesses and the floating Blueberry brother. Which is very much on the cards in the future. No idea how near that is, though.

How fast does the gamer-chick Princess Jania work? And, is she actually willing to share?

She seems to be like Yuri and wants the Tower shook up. Actually I'm willing to bet she has a very good idea on where Baam is. Keeping track of an illregular seems to be something that she would do.

Who knows. We know she has one of the Greastest lighthouses in existance, and uses it stalk everyone, but we don't know what her limitations are.

As for whether she's willing to share, that would depend on what the item she wants Yuri to find for her is.

I very much agree. If only 'cos it gets her more info on the Tower.

Ye gads: but it's bugging me. Just how many Koons are walking about? And, do they cover every damn faction within the Tower? And, why?

Is Daddy covering every bet without trying to look like he is?

There are a lot of Koons out there because their dad has a habit of sleeping around, while the other Great Family heads only had a few children each.

And… well, why would he bother infiltrating every faction when he's already one of the most powerful and influential people in the tower?

Because one way to maintain your power it to always be on a crest of a wave?

I'm betting (if his kids are any indication) that he's savvy enough to spot the cracks in the current governmental structure. If he's got family on every side, he can always try to claim a win via guilt-trip, whatever happens.

Call me a cynic. I don't mind.

Apparently polygamy isn't frowned upon in the tower based on Koon's family too.

Baam is Zahod's son. The princess are made so that when his son is able to climb the tower he will have a harem.

No, I believe that if anyone we know is actually related to Zahard, it's Wangnan. Who unfortunately doesn't seem to have inherited his father's strength.

He kicked his son out to see if he has the strength to get in and climb on his own. Hell for all he knew Baam wouldn't want to climb.

Your guess is more realistic though. Well apparently Zahard can give out his power. So maybe he can take power too, and he took his son's power and the only way he can get it back is to climb the tower. He defiantly has something to prove with his climb, and he will not give up no matter what apparently.

Man Baam is so adorably naive in part 1.

I feel the need to point out that leaving the tower is non-trivial; finding a way to do so is the Wing Tree's raision d'etre, and their leader is strongest active Ranker in the tower.

Though, of course, Zahard being Zahard, it's conceivable he knows a way nobody else does.

Huh apparently an A grade pocket is rare and expensive enough that the Rankers on the 2nd floor thought that one might be in The Koon Treasure Hoard.

Yeah Zahard is the current King and rule setter of the Tower. Lord knows what he knows. I wish we would see Zahard.

Ok I lied earlier when I said that we had never seen pure shinsoo attack hurt Baam. He got paralyzed once by a Ranker.

Baam was imprisoned out there. So maybe he is a child of an irregular that was taked out of the tower and left so that he couldn't mess up the tower and they didn't have to kill a child.

It seems like Rachel had clothes and stuff. I wonder if she had a family and what not, and just left Baam in the hole hidden. As her pet or something. And yeah she totally had done just that. She told Baam it was for his own good, but well she's very trustworthy.

I wonder if the Wing Tree people have control of the bottom two floors so that they can try and save/control the illregulars that come through. They know that letting them go is just painting a target on them so they test them and the strong are taken while the weak die.

And... when he says "stop", for some reason, you do... Seems he's got a very good handle on that distance technique, now, eh?

Interesting… you need to be trusting to win this, but you also need to be willing to betray the trust of others. Which makes Wangnan's combination of charisma and desperation the ideal mix for this.

Though Yeon is in a unique position in that unless she gets taken down or does something utterly stupid, she's not only guaranteed to be part of the team, but she may even end up being in a position to choose who else passes; which, I believe, will be purple-hair's downfall. However she's also in a weaker initial position than the others, as she's the only one who doesn't start with an ally.

Oh, I wouldn't bet on that. Part of how she blew up at "Voile" really did get to him. Which old button (and a few new ones, it seems) didn't she press? All without seriously trying?

For him, it was seeing his old self in the mirror, almost.

If he really wanted to, he could have stopped playing the game by taking her head off then and there and going on to find the Ranker to decapitate to move on. But, no: he froze her. Why?

It seems even less likely "Viole" will win based just on the fact that all the others will lose if he does.

Although yes, the easiest way for him to win is to eliminate teh regulars. An odd addition, so there must be more to it than that considering Love probably doesn't want him to win.

Well, I'm glad that even in-universe people think these games have complicated rules.

Wow, Yeon got beat quick. I wish purple-hair encounters Viole too, though I wouldn't mind Viole and Love duking it out.

Well to be fair we actually haven't seen Baam kill anyone. For certain at any rate. All we know for 100% is that he damaged 4 people enough to fail the first test and be teleported out. We know that one isn't necessarily dead when that happens because of our friend that has failed like 10 times, and with the last time failing due to being on fire.

Love might either think that Baam will lose to the regulars, or that Baam will make a bloody path through the regulars, who he might see as traitors considering they were willing to side with Baam, and then he would get to kill him. Best case scenario is that this is all here to make Baam accept a team, but fight them.

It could be he's trying to ferret out who's on Baam's side first to spare the innocent.

Euo raises a good point. If Baam's plan was, as Wangnan suggested, to blast regulars until there are only six left, he would've taken Yeon down instead of just freezing her. Which can only mean that he's planning to fight Love.

So he wants to fail everyone, but he doesn't want to hurt anyone he doesn't have to. Which, given his goal, is a mistake; going by the power rankings, it would take roughly the combined power of every one else to match Baam's strength.
