Mind if I become insufferably smug over this for the next few days?
In other news, It seems likely that that really is Urek. He's certainly a high ranker affiliated with Wing Tree. And with those eyes…
Which is bad news. I don't care how strong Baamole is, there's no way he can take Urek. So- they fail and one of the less important characters from part 1 bites it, or Urek beats Viole to a pulp only for Miseng to get the flower to let them pass the test?
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."I think you have every right to be smug about this actually, nice prediction. I guess we can't underestimate how much each floor master would want make Baam fail/succeed depending on the loyalty.
perhaps Urek will get amused by Baam and take his time (his interest was piqued by the fact that he's a Slayers candidate) allowing Miseng to get the flower in the meantime
I consider it my duty to ensure that, should you be surprised by a bear in your library, you will have ample ammunition to beat it to death.and Agreed: be smug. Isn't it interesting that they threw the troublesome Slayer-candidate at a trouble they-knew-not-the-exact-nature-of (but, did know it was big)... and it could come back to bite them, depending how Urek's little game with the baby plays out...
Well when Baam survives this he will have a lot of crazy abilities from Urek.
And by survive this I mean he let's him go, and now I'm not really sure why he would. Maybe just because?
A friend is someone you trust to help you move. A best friend is someone you trust to hide the body.cripes, good point. The whole plan is going to backfire terribly for those who tried to get Baam failed/killed isn't it?

A friend is someone you trust to help you move. A best friend is someone you trust to hide the body.sorry, have been busy with studies, I usually spend Tv T time I get on the xkcd thread and the literature subforum. Also, I raeg-quit the Naruto thread due to all the off-topic-ness, hence the lack of meeting.
Also, I am *still* not convinced that's Urek. Too... juvenile.

Herald of the Literature Sub-Forum. Share me your favourite book/series/author!Maybe he's the guy that really wanted to protect his trees that joined up with Urek.
Unless he's bluffing about his strength and his dream he should be one of the two.
I think that the afterward said that he's one of the top ten. Maybe he's the phantom dude because we know nothing about his motivation?
Ahhh well that's a pretty good reason for me not to have seen you too much. You should talk more in this thread then when you have the time.

A friend is someone you trust to help you move. A best friend is someone you trust to hide the body.About Urek: from the translation of the little extra SIU produces on his blog when the raw comes out, the guy is Urek. I have this both from FudgeNouget's summary thread and the raw discussion thread on Batoto: Marduk turned up the blog discussions there.
Note: I intentionally boycott MangaPirate's speedscans on principal, I'm afraid.

Watziname...Baek-Ryun? Nah, that guy sounds geeky/nerdy (the guy definitely loved his forest). Definitely not the guy to run around shirtless.
I don't like their scans either, but I wouldn't go to the extent of boycotting them. Could you expound on this principle of yours? Am I missing something?
Herald of the Literature Sub-Forum. Share me your favourite book/series/author!I strongly dislike scanlation groups or sites waltzing in and trying to pull the rug out from under other groups who've worked hard to build any project up from the start... and are still busy producing it on a regular schedule. It's a different story if one group has had to drop a project, of course... and another takes it over.
The moment undermining happens when a series gets popular, and it reeks that they are doing this to take a cut in the market share generated by the interest and trust built over time by others for, e.g. ad revenue, I start a boycott. If I inadvertently read one scan by that group, I make a note and don't read that series on that site, until I get conformation they've dropped it. It's a personal policy.
I also come out in hives when a site or group appends its own credits at the bottom of other people's works, later (even if they can't deface all the evidence that another group did the lion's share of the work)... like MangaPirate has done with a lot of works they basically lifted from others. Heck... with ToG (and, Kubera, I've noticed: along with others on other forums), they even replace the speedscan later with TheComapy's version... with their own additions. This just ain't right.
Please note: I don't dislike summaries, or fan-produced speedscans that are strictly forum-only that give alternative translations (as, they can help you see what the meaning might be like in the original language, and give a window on how difficult the whole translation biz actually is). But, there are ways and ways. It's not just a case of me not liking the translations for their quality (although, there is that, too...) To me, that's minor.

Herald of the Literature Sub-Forum. Share me your favourite book/series/author!you should probably remove the link. here's a download of the chapter on mediafire, but I'd suggest you support the translators somehow (who I probably shouldn't link to because I think they also translate actual sold manga).
Good chapter. This almost makes it too easy though! Baam can win Urek's respect (slightly arrogant and foolish though he is) without actually having to beat him. And at the same time he will be passing the test!
This talk of "Outside the Tower" is interesting. I'd like to hear more.
"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."That's chapter 2/32 (112), the one I linked is the chapter 113.
Look I like Batoto more than Mangapirate, but when they are one week late (they posted the link yesterday, today there was a new chapter) I don't mind Mangapirate for the quick fix.
Also, I will link to the raw and batoto spoiler, if it makes you happy.
Herald of the Literature Sub-Forum. Share me your favourite book/series/author!The main problems I have with such groups is that if they ability crank out a speedy translation, they should have ability to do speed translations of Knight Run, Special Martial Arts Extreme Hell Private High School, City of Dead Sorcerer or Baby Finger but I don't see those anywhere. Another one is that they don't tell you where they got the original pages from, would it kill to them to drop a link somewhere? I mean the manhwa-ga depend on hits on their webtoons and the time the readers take looking at them.
Ah sorry, I didn't catch which chapter you posted because I've only been keeping up with The Company's version for consistency.
But it's not my policy it's the site policy just to not link to places that host anything that could be seen as pirated, including scanalations.
Although Tower of God doesn't count as pirated since it's like a webcomic, Batoto in particular hosts other manga that aren't immune (for instance I see they have Naruto).
Basically if you keep the link, you risk a thump.

"Nullius addictus iurare in verba magistri, quo me cumque rapit tempestas, deferor hospes."Also, it's tacky to try to gouge somebody because they're a little late with translating something, by posting links to sites who are blatantly trying to steal their projects from under them.
Geez: you'd think leeching from a group of people's hobby suddenly gives you rights over their production schedule, or something?
About the actual webtoon: Anybody doubting who that guy is, now? Those test admins sure aren't... (And, Wangnan practically needs his jaw forklifted off the floor.)
I fear that from the point that guy began to call Baam and others babies, I began to read his lines in this voice.
Hmmm: Urek is an irregular, right? As in someone outside of the tower who forced his way in without being chosen by it. Doesn't that clash with his stated motivation of trying to get out of tower?
Also: yeah, awesome web-comic, just finished the Archive Binge.

"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Maybe this isn't the right place (but, hell, you're the TOG fans so whatever) and not to sound like a nag but TOG technically isn't a manga so could you stop putting it in manga/anime subpages, folders and indexes? Apart from the ones I've fixed I've got a feeling the 700+ wicks it has are in the wrong places. If that number could not increase I'd be grateful.
Enjoy your Korean Webtoon.
So, I just caught up with TOG. Wait, is Urek Mazino... The Real Slim Shady.
Probably... that, or related to Woody Harrelson, circa 1992 (White Men Can't Jump — I only remember the date due to taking my GCS Es that year). Take your pick.
Regarding Urek Mazino: he entered the Tower because he was chasing Phantaminum.
read the raws it seems somebody was pretty much spot on a theory here, not naming in case accidental scroll over
