Looks... odd.

Okay, I saw some GTA, Bionic Commando, Metal Gear, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Legend Of Zelda...

Holy crap this is the best game ever.

I also liked how the "milk" makes your screen all wavy. Heh.

Yeah, it was a Wii Ware exclusive originally. They bumped the Wii Ware release back a few months. Looks like they're angling for the XBLA "Summer of Arcade".

@Deathonabun Also some Galaga, Skate Or Die...

Oh yeah, I read about this in Nintendo Power.

Looks fun.

Well, when I think of Splosion Man and Ms Splosion Man, "rampage" does come to mind.

I so want to get this game. When is it coming out? The last I heard anything about this game was exactly a year ago.

May 2012 release, and it'll be on XBLA and PC and PSN and Wii Ware and Vita.

After a 5-month delay due to certifications and bug fixes, the game JUST got released today on PS 3, Vita, and PC (via Steam, GOG, or directly from the developer). XBLA and Wii Ware versions coming soon, since apparently those versions aren't certified yet.

I preordered it on PC and got the DRM free copy from the dev and the GOG and Steam keys as bonuses, as well as some other preorder goodies such as printable box art and soundtrack sampler.

Just installed it now on PC. Now to finally play it....

Side note: the PS 3/Vita versions support Cross Play with each other - buying one version gets the other one free. I'll probably get that one sometime in the near future if/when I get a Vita.

It's like they redid every single iconic retro game they could think of with their own art assets. I'm surprised that none of the presumably hordes of IP holders have tried to C&D yet.

They got permission, ie. they asked Twisted Pixel for Splosion Man.

I love how the game brings most references in pairs or even triplets. There's for example the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who attack the player on quite a regular base, but sometimes one of them fights with a hockey stick (probably a Mighty Ducks reference) or even a mop (definitely a Toxic Avenger reference).

Playing the Wii Ware port right now.

It IS one trick ponyish. But I can't deny that this game is one hell of a labor of love. A lot of work went into this game, and I thank the developer.
