Bad news: Your adopted daughter is dead

Good news: your adopted son's are alive

More bad news: Of them is planning on bringing hell to earth, or at least all of its demons.

[up] Don't forget the part where said son tried to kill the other.

New Page, by the way, I really like berserk Sakido's design in the current style.

Perhaps this is what he needs to be pushed into action, the gods (and death) are still missing and now his son is trying to invade the world with an army of demons.

Just stumbled across Slightly Damned again for the first time in five or six years - it's so cool to see that it's still going on. Really enjoyed getting to reread and see all the art evolution. (Also re-experiencing all the plot twists I somehow forgot about.)

How far did you get before you stopped?

I know I got to the start of the flower festival arc - the part where it was just chill slice-of-life stuff. I might have been around when shit just started to hit the fan too? Melli and Moonshade's fight. Maybe Kieri's initial reunion with her brother and the fight over the wagon, maybe her fight with Buwaro? Her going full berserker/getting captured/the bar brawl/the wagon chase scene were all definitely new.

Of course this is also keeping in mind that I barely remember my first reading. Like I know I got way past the part where Darius turned out to be Death. But I totally forgot about it, and got to re-experience that twist all over again. It was super awesome!

New Page, horrible, existential information.

Well, that's why we have punchlines to soften the blow. I really do adore J's role in all of this conversation. That is I feel bad for him, but it's also hilarious.

Seems a bit unfair that angels and demons don't get an afterlife but medians do. But considering some of the punishments in hell I think some would prefer non existence.

[up] Angels and Demons both existed before Medians so the gods didn't come up with the afterlife till after their own people were made.

Holy shit, I've got a bit of a gap in my reading (between the arrival to St. Curtis and the Battle of St. Curtis), so I don't know if that detail was revealed before, but...wow.

Guess that explains "Snaketail". Ever since Steven Universe revealed that Garnet being a fusion and Rose being Pink Diamond were both twists planned from the start of the series, I've become curious about twists like this. I wonder how long this particular twist has been planned.
