Being different just for the sake of being different can lead to stupid results. Case in point: sparkly vampires. Tropes Are Tools. If you're going to avoid a character or element because it's a trope, then, well....good luck getting anything written.

If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.The only reason why I quit this subforum was because no one really paid attention to my writings, or gave some genuinely stupid advice like needing to boost the meta.
