There was a period of time where they deactivated accounts that did not play for 9 months.
It's not a problem if you can still log on the e-mail the account is tied to, and if the e-mail is functional.
It should be noted that no matter how godly your stuff may have been in the past, they're probably totally obsolete now.
In Puzzle Pirates, on the doubloon servers, if you pay even once, they won't delete your character because of inactivity. I have literally paid $2 for that MMO and my character was never deleted. Sure, you still have to pay, but $2 total, man.
MMORPGs are serious business.I wasn't godly or anything. IIRC, I was just about to get the first thief promotion, but quit because my old internet connection kept crapping out halfway through the mission (forcing me to restart every time)
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I played both the old and the new Maplestory.
Personally, I like the new Maplestory much, much better.
Little to no grinding, to start with. Also, on skills, most of the useless skills are either gone or improved, and you can master most skills before 4th in like 10 or 20 level.
Also, all around a lot more to do, be it quests or monsters.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.for reference, at least in GMS, you can probably hit level 100 in half the time it took to get to level 30 in the past
and level 200 in 10 hours or less if you're funded.
MMORPGs are serious business. You can reasonably reach the second job in 2 hours. Even if you are unfunded. Hell, if you are funded, I'm pretty sure you can do that in an hour.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.for some classes due to their questline they pretty much get spoonfed to 30 (and when I say spoonfed when the game is as easy as it is I mean it) with quest EXP so it generally takes less than an hour if one skips all the quest dialogue
MMORPGs are serious business. After hitting 140 with my Dark Knight, I got tad bit bored and started another character. I picked Archmage (Fire and Poison). I didn't know till I brought it up to level 70 (which wasn't too long), but apparently it is actually the job with highest DPM, at least here in KMS.
The skills are so much visually flashy and fun, especially during boss fights. It might not be fast (my DK happened to have a special Maple weapon, a spear...that is fast.), but it's so satisfying to almost instantly kill a boss monster with combination of wide and powerful fire attack spell, long lasting poison attack, and after-effect fire (something that unfortunately doesn't work too well against poision-resistant enemy).
Best of all, thanks to Teleport Mastery, it can attack with teleport. It is actually powerful enough to one-shot a lot of monsters around my level.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. So, after somehow losing access to my old account, I started up a new one and a new character.
I decided to go with Shadower, and so far I'm on level 61.
Holy shit, it gotten so awesome.
First of all, the Savage Blow has pretty wide attack range, and can be used during jumping. That means, I can use Flash Jump to jump around the entire map while using that, which, combined with all the attack buffs that this has - (At least 40+ physical attack), I can pretty much murder every non-boss monster in any kind of field in around 10 seconds.
Secondly, Steal. Not only it's a quick attack with decent range and damage, it also makes monsters pop out special potion, which can regenerate both HP and MP to the full, depending on your luck. Which means, no need for potions in the battlefield, unless during emergency or when you don't even have enough MP for Steal.
And that's only the second job skills. Once reaching the third...hoo boy.

What the hell? When I press Play in the launcher, it keeps saying "Currently in game" and then just go back to Play button.

I've always liked bow this game doesn't drop you if you have not played in forever (or at least it didn't the last time I took a loooong hiatus) - unlike some people.. I've always liked this game but don't have the organized time to get into it like that, but if I ever want to pick up my old character again he's there.
Of course, that mightve changed during said hiatus...
