My favourite ones are Kirby, Mr Game & Watch and Ness.

In Brawl... if I'm trying to win, Dedede, Ness, or Lucas. If it's just for fun, Sonic. I don't think I've ever won as Sonic, but he is absurdly fun to play as.

I love choosing high-maintenance characters for masochists, namely Ness and Olimar.

Toon Link is beast, but I hate puppits so I'll never unlock him *sigh*

edit: olimar is good mainly because of his final smash

Toon Link's not that hard to get to. And there's other ways of unlocking him.

That's not true. Olimar has a great throw and some really powerful launchers.

I know but if I ever play as him, it's for his final-ass smash

But seriously, what difficulty are you playing on? The puppits aren't that hard to defeat.

Ah, the crushing power of Nightmare Fuel.

Olimar is, in the right hands, a ridiculously devilish beast. Infuriatingly difficult to approach.

I love that kind of character.

I really hate people who brag about their VG accomplishments, but I just have to say that a well-played Ness can actually cause people to fear PK Thunder II.

I despise playing against Olimar. Of course, you face two of them at the end of All-Star Mode if you play cooperatively, which I used to always do with my father.

... It basically sucks, let me put it that way. There's always the threat of random bombs and whatnot, but the Olimars themselves seem like completely random distributors of doom as well.

It's for a similar reason that I dislike playing as him. Aside from my usual dislike for overpoweredness because I'm a jerk like that, you just kinda never see what you're actually doing. Aside from the rare, strangely powerful physical move, everything he does is some sort of generic and vague motion that would be best described as "causing annihilation". I don't know if our TV screen is just that horrible, but that's all I see happening.

^Nah, that's about right. The hardest part of fighting Olimar is how hard he is to predict.

I love playing as Olimar. Though he can be easy to exploit the weaknesses of sometimes, using endlessly generated soldiers for clubs and projectiles makes me smile. But that's just me, I like playing with everyone who's not Sonic or Ganondorf.

I think the only character I can't play too well is Dedede.

Everyone else I'm at least mildly competent with.

400 matches aren't too hard to accumulate... Just play a bunch of really short ones.

Bitch bitch moan I was the main supporter of Wind-Waker-style Link on the Smash Boards but I'm disappointed with him in Brawl because I wanted him to act more like Squirtle does now and he's so ridiculously overpowered compared to the ridiculously underpowered other Link and he looks weird /bitch bitch moan

By the way, I was just reminded:

Gotta give you props for that. Having fun while losing is a lifesaving skill.

Though I guess losing with Sonic is a lot different from losing with Ganondorf. With Sonic, you get to run around like the wind and poke at your enemies a lot at least, playing Ganondorf means everyone else is Sonic for you.

Agreed, I remember back in the N^$ days I always lost to this one friend who was practically an expert with Ness and I assumed "Play Ness, It's what's for winners".

It's especially that PK thunder that's scary.

It doesn't look like this has been posted yet...

Could be a good demake when finished (even if it's for the PC, not an actual ROM). Demo releases this Friday.
