First of all, hello. I'm Cap Slash Jerk, and I'm fairly new to the forum, so I'm not sure if this should go here or elsewhere. Second of all, I kind of need this done by tomorrow, because I left it to the last minute. I'm not trying to pressure anyone into posting just for the sake of it, but If you have any advice, please tell me. OK, here goes. I have an audition for Britain's Got Talent. Tomorrow. Seriously. I have done this before (unsuccessfully), so I know that it's not going to be in front of a huge audience or anything, it's just going to be in front of one or two people with a camera. I'm entering as a stand-up comedian, and I'm fairly confident with the material I'm using, but there's one problem. I'm scared as hell. I have no idea if I'm going to do well or not, so if any of you have any advice on performing stand-up comedy, it would be seriously appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No idea what to tell you about the majority of that, but there's an introductions thread in Yack Fest.

Good luck with the audition, though. You have more self-confidence than I do.

If you have the confidence to sign up, you have the confidence to perform. Trust in your material and your delivery. Don't think about the audience, the cameras, the judges: pick one person and tell your jokes to him/her, even if he/she is imaginary.

If you don't win, it's not because you're bad, it's because the judges liked someone else more. Practice, refine, try again.

Under World. It rocks!

Thanks for your help, the audition went fine! I should be hearing back from them round about feburary/march, so I'll post their reply then. Much obliged!
