I sure said that!Actually, I looked at the original Japanese, and a better translation would be "the eternal bee".
I just translated it back into the proper Esperanto.
It should actually be the Beegee's: Stayin' Alive.

I have no horse, and I must ride. I accomplish unlockments.Kaguya really shouldn't have watered her flower garden with Hourai Elixer.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWould those flowers stop growing, do you think? Could we get an eternally blooming sakura tree?
Technically vampires are a kind of oni, so it's reasonable that they have oni-esque stength. However, it is implied that there are a number of unnamed oni living underground, so it's not like being strong is an automatic ticket to being known.
Are they really oni-oni, or is it just that the names of the species are related?

-insert eye related pun here-
Reminds me of that one chapter of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei what happens to all the oni you kick out on Setsubun.
that means the Underground is where the oni go after Setsubun...

That awkward moment where Kyoro is one of Satan's Generals.Well, apparently you can throw beans at them or something like that, so they have oni weaknesses in addition to the standard vampire weaknesses.
Seems like pretty conclusive evidence to me — and some measure of proof that in-universe, Japanese myths are true of foreigners too.

Vampires are listed as being related to oni in PMiSS, but they seem to be more like people and chimps, rather than the same race.
I sure said that!Touhou vampires seem to be weirdly min-maxed oni. Bit less strength, but much faster. All of the old weaknesses and some bullshit new ones, but stronger magic and funky reproduction. They're near immortal, but eternally children
The "eternally children" thing must be a worth a lot of points at character creation. I can't imagine why anyone would take it otherwise.
It could be a class requirement.
I sure said that! This discussion needs more '''picdump'"

That awkward moment where Kyoro is one of Satan's Generals.Well, I dunno. I guess it'd require for a whole bunch of unseen crazy-high-level people in other places as well to even out the power balance. The Mansion would probably strike a lot of people as dangerous if it had any more significantly powerful people within...
I dunno. In most other stories vampires aren't exactly inclined to co-operation. They're predators, right? Other predators mean more competition for food.
Song of the SirensWolves hunt in packs. Humans hunt in packs. It's not unheard of.
The power balance is always even. If it gets out of hand, one or more people instantly gain plot armor and the motivation to go out and resolve an incident. That's just how Gensokyo works.
As for the "vampires and oni" thing, I always considered it as one of two things: 1.they just happen to share a few weaknesses. It'd be like saying that humans are a type of elf because both die when you stab them in the heart. 2. Oni are a different subtype of Devil, but no one wants to make the connection "official" due to the feel that Devils/Vampires are "western" and Oni are "eastern". (I dunno why, but I do feel that Akyuu would have at least some bias of that nature)
Also, oh hey the forum is still here. I expected it to still be down.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.The Japanese word for vampire means "blood sucking oni".
Common Joe Human usually tries to avoid any place that isn't the human village unless they take special measures such a loading up with charms and wards. Akyuu gets at least her preliminary info from humans after all.
Page 253 will forever bee known as the page with two incredibly bad puns
