Gensoukoumuten's portrayal is pretty neat. I feel kinda bad that she's forced to wear those Third Eye sealing glasses otherwise people will refuse to deal with her.
Of course, she pulls off the glasses look admirably.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI have to admit, though, that I find the idea of a pair of stylish glasses sealing her third eye to be pretty silly. Though that's okay. But I'm really a bit disturbed at how full of strange meme-type jokes that story seems to be so far. Seems so out of place in his universe. All the more reason for him to finish that story so there can be more serious awesomeness to it.
I kind of feel dumb but I just now just realized that the other diplomats/other members of the Bremen band in that doujin were probably pets of Satori's that became youkai.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI don't consider that likely, actually. Not any more likely than the alternative that they're simply a bunch of animal youkai, which you can see all over the place in the Postman Universe. Although that might even be more likely, depending on whether you consider donkeys or chickens to be pets that Satori might be keeping.
Now me, I managed to take entirely too long to realize that not only is "Bremen" a German city, but that those animals make up the Town Musicians of Bremen.
You'd think a German would pick that up a little quicker than that.

The only pets she's likely to have are kashas and hell crows because thats what would be indigenous to the area right above hell. Fanworks have seen fit to give her dogs also. And sometimes more exotic animals. I've seen fanworks where she has a veritable menagerie, a zoo of pets even.
In one fanwork, she had a tapir that claimed to be an oil tycoon and that hit on Yukari.
So, the Bremem beasties either were or weren't former pets of Satori's. But animal youkai would tend to be fonder of her than any other given type.
Shame on you. Turn in your gun, your badge, and your lederhosen.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersHuh, just looked through the Alphes Style pool on danbooru.
Satori has one image while Koishi has ~6
Isn't it sad, Satorin
"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowI imagine she has a lot of kasha (and possibly a few nekomata), since she's a crazy cat lady. Meow. I seem to recall Okuu calling herself the STRONGEST hell raven, indicating Satori owns at least one more.
Song of the SirensSudden PS: are Satori's less powerful pets the mooks of the last three stages of Subterranean Animism?
Song of the SirensOr just that she knows of other hell ravens. You do shoot your way through a flock on your way to Utsuho. And she is the strongest of them.
Are any of them animals? I just recall fairies and those yinyangy orb thingies.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersJust inhabitants of hell, I'd wager. If anything, their owner would be Rin given her role as a kasha.
Ah, but I distinctly remember there being a flock of hell ravens just before Utsuho. Unless my memory is lying to me again, and I'm confusing Utsuho with Aya. But I'm not.
Song of the SirensUPDATE UPDATE: After a brief consultation with You Tube, I can confirm that there are ravens in Stage 6.
Song of the SirensOh fine.
Time for a Satori picdump!

Is that what they're calling it nowadays?
"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowYes. Yes, it is.
Aww, poor friendless Satori, I wanna hug her now ;_;. Just a thought, though...how many Touhou characters can be considered to be truly unhappy? Pretty much the only one I can think of is Parsee.
Song of the SirensIf there's anyone unhappy in gensokyo, Yuugi will PUNCH THEM IN THE FACE until they smile again.
And then they'll party
"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowFace punching means friendship.
Anyway, the reason why Satori always looks so tired is that all the nocturnal pet cats she has get active and mentally chatty at night* when she's sleeping.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat, and you'd be really tired of your pets having "together time" when you're trying to get some shut-eye, and you can't shut off your mindreading and it'l be all ''Oh Kitty!"'
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! Is that what they're calling it nowadays?

"Seriously, don't eat the mermaid. And not just because it's half cannibalism." ~OtherarrowSatori must be a ridiculously good animal matchmaker. She'd presumably be a good human matchmaker too, if said humans didn't have a problem with her constantly spilling the beans on who liked whom.
Do animals even need matchmaking? They tend to sort the thing out themselves. Fun fact: There's a remarkably small number of tsundere animals.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThe bipolar bear being a notable exception, of course.
SDM I'm going to gnaw on your arm now
Welp, changed it back on the sheet. Kept it in the profile.
Add to that my belief that love is practically the same thing as understanding, and that I can identify disturbingly well with Koishi, and, I'll admit it, I have a bit of a crush on her.
