Right now? Annex their asses. I have more men, more industry, and an itch to spread the revolution and break some chains.
If they do it during the war? I have no idea, but I've never seen them do it. I have however, seen other people have the CSA come out on top against the USA + Entente.
Last Stellaris dev diary for patch 1.8 and Synthetic Dawn
It's about nerfs to Awakened Empires, loosening restrictions on ascension paths, and balance adjustments to Dyson Spheres and Science Nexuses.
Still really disappointed about nerfing awakened empires. They're too weak as it stands. For them to just fall all over again is all kinds of sad.
Totally gonna either make it impossible to gain decadence or turn it into a buff.
Personaly I can see the idea behind it to allow less good players a chance to break the shackles.
Buuuut.
I would not have them even start building it until they controlled more then 50% of every thing.
I understand the idea, but I dont think it should constantly be there, but rather a late thing to kick in to prevent a stale game.
So I just took a chunk of an enemy's empire after a large 8 years war involving me and my three loyal vassals versus that guy and his two defensive pacts and one vassal. Not even ten seconds after that conquest, approximately ten empires immediately closed borders for me. I guess nobody anywhere in this galaxy likes the Space Pirates empire. I like where this game is going! I look forward to building a greater fleet and use it to conquer the sleeping Militant Isolationists next door. Hopefully I can progress decently before the 1.8 update kills this playthrough.

That's Stellaris in a nutshell. Nobody likes expansionist imperial powers, particularly if they don't have long-standing relationships beforehand, because they get the idea that hey, they might be next on the menu.
Not that it ever saves them, of course.
I despise hypocrisy, unless of course it is my own.Yeah, and that's if you can make it past the early game before other empires attacking you because you got plunked next door to an empire that's your complete opposite.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I got something weird in my Stellaris FP game. The three-empire federation, whose "main" empire supposedly has a "superior" fleet to mine, had declared war on me in the previous session... But I finally got a free evening to play, and I actually won that war pretty easily. I never saw the color of that alleged superior fleet, as the enemy never sent anything bigger than a 26K federation fleet (my own doomstack being around 120K).
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Stellaris Dev Diary 87 has been posted and it's a full change-log of both 1.8 and Synthetic Dawn.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnWeren't the other empire at war with somebody else, by chance ? I got something similar where I managed to win a war against two empires just as strong as mine because one of my weaker, but strategically placed ally kept throwing his forces into those of one of the two empire, which forced him to take care of him while the fanatic evangelists were getting annihilated.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."They certainly didn't look so. But possibly they feared the other federation might declare war on them if they moved their fleet away from some coveted area...
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."I'm waiting til Thursday before I play again. I want SD first.
Oh right, that comes out.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Synthetic Dawn is cool but 1.8 just looks amazing. I can't wait.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnI may have to re-download Stellaris. I could play it while waiting for Total War Warhammer 2.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Here is the real meaning of the 1.8 patches notes (God, I love this guy)

"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnI loved it.
"Removed ability for synths to get high. BET YOU'RE REGRETTING UPLOADING INTO A TOASTER NOW, YOU CHROME ASS SON OF A BITCH!"
@The Librarian: I call that situation a growth opportunity.
I despise hypocrisy, unless of course it is my own.The first thing we see is that they apparently contracted out construction to Hyrule.
I despise hypocrisy, unless of course it is my own.So they're like the Unbidden but a lot stronger.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.It depends what you mean by "like Unbidden", they're a crisis so there's some similarities but they have different flavor, spawning methods (factory planets instead of a single portal), and armaments.

"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnYeah, that's essentially what I meant. Mainly they're the shield and energy-focused faction that you can destroy with Kinetics.

Yeah, when I played the US in a Kaiserreich game I managed to win the war and peacefully re-absorb almost every split faction.
But what are you going to do if Canada decides "Nope"?
