I saw that, Stellaris just gets so much better each patch. It's great
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnYeah xD Wish I could get a good start.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Heh, I've had a few poor starts and a few great starts but generally I get adequate starts.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -Hylarn1.8 will add new preset empires for players with Utopia. Featured in the screenshot are the Xanid Suzereinists, who are Fanatic Authoritarians / Xenophobes with syncretic evolution. Also, looks like the Ixi'dar Star Collective have gone from Fanatic Authoritarian / Materialist to being a Hive Mind.
That's a Synth empire at upper-left right above the Suzerainty!

And still no option to force prescripted empires to spawn.
Why do the Xanid and the Kel-Azaan have the same portraits?
Wiz said on Reddit that it won't stay this way.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Yay, I finally got an endgame crisis to happen: the Unbidden invaded. Right next to some newly awakened Watchful Regulators. Who then became Guardians of the Galaxy (I didn't think that already awoken Fallen Empires could do that, but it totally happened.). Suffice it to say, the Unbidden only lasted 3 or so years and were defeated before they could place a second anchor.

It never made any sense to me that their entry point was totally random. I'd say make them come out next to or on top of the bloody bastards who unlocked jump drives to start with. Even if that bloody bastard is me.
I think it makes sense either way, there isn't anything that says they must go next to the person that summoned them. The same galaxy is arguably close enough.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnWhy is being Florence suffering T_T I was finally making progress, grabbed Sienna and Lucca, even allied with the Papal States for once, but then I had a war where I lost all of my manpower, which was followed by a rebellion that for some reason I couldn't stop easily, and then Milan declared war on me, so that game's a bust since I have no manpower and not enough money to hire enough mercenaries >_<
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.How did you wipe that badly as Florence?
Seriously though, Florence is good at dealing with setbacks on that level. Let Milan and the rebels fight it out, take some loans to hire a merc army, stalemate Milan after they've cleaned that up for you, and pay the loans back when you have the money (such as from winning the next war). Florence prints money; recovering from debt is easy.
The thing with Florence is that you have no manpower to speak of. So, you've gotta condotta if it comes down to serious or sustained war.
I despise hypocrisy, unless of course it is my own.No, I had just finished the war against the rebels, but before that, I also just finished a walk with my lawn, which was how I got Luca. And that's why I couldn't afford enough.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I found a mod that gives you a homeworld consisting of a TWELVE SECTION Ringworld. Damn thing is a resource sucker but it's going to be one Hell of a base when it's filled out.
It also makes the game a cakewalk.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.I know. I'll have twelve worlds in a single system and won't have to run out colonizing other systems. It would take a war to make much of an inroad into my territory, and even then it wouldn't necessarily be enough to stomp on me. Throw in twelve full-strength space stations and . . .
Oh, yeah. Totally worth it for a Tall run.
You also have a fairly early-game resource income. I tried a ringworld mod in multiplayer once and it wasn't even funny how powerful you can get, even if you have only colonised your home system so far.
Getting the nomad cruisaders was a nice bonus, though, instantly catapultig me to the top position of my corner of the galaxy.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Well, on the one hand, no more naked corvette spam. They're downing the price scaling for advanced components. On the other, they're almost doubling the base cost of a corvette. That's going to be annoying.
Indeed, especially since Corvettes make up a significant portion of your starting fleet before you can start making destroyers and cruisers.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Gonna make early game wars - and especially the traditional pirate hunt - even more of a pain in the arse, but it's good to see naked corvettes gone.
I despise hypocrisy, unless of course it is my own. They had better adjust that damn pirate event to account for this. Otherwise, looks really good.
