Bringing the Dark Ocean subplot to some sort of conclusion wouldn't hurt

I had this idea after watching the Digimon Adventure 02 review on TGWTG. Now although I am a fan of the second season I had to admit that the reviewer had a point. So I thought what if I could take the things mentioned in the reviews and come up with a hypothetical continuation that could touch on character development for characters that didn't get much while practicing new OCs. I will of course be ignoring the epilogue as it pretty much ends things.
Any suggestions for things I could do, plots from 02 I could use and such. Any characters you want to see expanded on?
