Well, going from the depression existence of Transformers Go back to a more depressing thought about Prime:
Wasn't Cliffjumper's grave marking places at the top of the Base? The one that Megatron blew up at the end of Season 2?
.....

One Strip! One Strip!No ?
It's on a cliff. The base is/was a mesa of some sort. Not that I can blame you considering Season 1's "everything is near a brown (or white, for that one Arctic episode) cliff" motif.

Bumping this up because I was looking at Prime's character profile on This Very Wiki....
WHAT DO THEY MEAN OPTIMUS IS THE THIRTEENTH FUCKING PRIME?!!!!
One Strip! One Strip!Wait, what? This exists?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceYup. It's pretty bad from what I've heard.
Not as bad as the whole 'robots kissing girls for power ups' thing but still bad
I'm baaaaaaackThat's also a thing?
But still, Is this the whole "Ligher side of transformers(That isn't Rescue bots)that loves to party"? Is this what I was expecting?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIt is. And it's significantly worse than it sounds. It shows off the very worst of Japan.
I'm baaaaaaackWHAT DO THEY MEAN OPTIMUS IS THE THIRTEENTH FUCKING PRIME?!!!!
According to the recently-released Convenant of Primus book, which details the history of the Aligned Continuity and was told from the POV of Alpha Trion, the 13th Prime decided to help the then-upcoming race of Cybetronians and the best way he could do this was to be reincarnated as one of them, so he went into the Allspark and was later reincarnated into Orion Pax/Optimus Prime.

Damn. That's crazy. And a nice case of coming full circle.

One Strip! One Strip!BTW, what the heck Cliffjumper even means? Guy who jumps down from a cliff? Over a cliff? Some kind of vehicle term?
I always assumed it was a name that means "this guy is so brave and/or reckless, that he'd jump off a cliff".
You know, like your usual example of Awesome McCoolname.

I should name my own Transformer "Facebreaker"!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceFunkmeister.
One Strip! One Strip!Ladykiller!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceBubblebee!
Wait...
I'm baaaaaaackI'm inclined to think that 90, 95, maybe even 99% of Transformer names don't really mean anything and are chosen purely on the basis of rule of cool.
Potentially even in-universe.

I had a theory that it's a translation thing.
The names like Bumblebee and Cliff-jumper are Translations of their Cybertronian names in English / any other language on Earth.
One Strip! One Strip! For example: Optimus Prime = Obi Wan Kenobi?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceNote that the Covenant of Primus is to be taken with a grain of salt, as a lot of what it says makes no sense, or outright defies what was see on the show proper.
...so no different from all the Aligned continuity books.
That's actually true in IDW's G1 comics. In fact, a running joke that some characters have terrible names (Ambulon...) because "The cool names were all taken".
Except the issue is that Bumblebee is named after something that doesn't exist on his planet. And going by most of the Aligned stuff, most Transformers had no concept of organic life before leaving Cybertron. So Bumblebee is named after something that doesn't exist on his own world, and most of his contemporaries would be ignorant of.
...You could argue Bumblebee's name is what his cybertronian name phonetically sounds like, but it's still a big coincidence he's all yellow and black.

it's all a work of fiction and they were named by humans
I'm baaaaaaackSo, their world doesn't exist?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceOn the other hand, the new series scheduled for 2015 has been announced. It'll take place after Prime and feature Bumblebee leading a squad of new characters. There's really nothing much else known about it other than it will be cgi and have a lighter tone.
In which I am totally fine with, Transformers has always been better with humour to counter the grittiness of the war aspect, it will also be nice to take a step back from using Optimus Prime for once.
I've only really written one fanfic... but you can find it here http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8476612/1/After-the-FallSounds nice. Probably the humor will range around the level of "Transformers animated".
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceActually makes me wonder, with the ending of Predacons Rising which sort of hints that Prime might reincarnate, and the Covenant of Primus saying he's done so before as one of the 13th prime (Which is still a stupid plot idea), I wonder if we should expect Optimus to return in the new series. I'd not be surprised for this to be the season 1 finale or something - especially if the show or its merch doesn't meet Hasbro's expectations.
If there's nothing Has Tak likes making more than Bumblebee toys, its Optimus toys.

Never.
Since Transformers Prime is over, there's nothing to talk about aside for Transformers Go (Which I never watched it.) and toyline.
To be honest, I don't like Beast Hunter toyline that much. And I don't want to complain about it.
