Rank the Silent Hill Games

Well did it for MGS and thought I'd try it for another fave series of mine.

How would you rank the SH games from best to worst? I'm mainly thinking in terms of storyline here since gameplay has never been SH's strong suit.

I know I'm going to get chewed out, but I actually like Silent Hill 4.

Many people like Silent Hill. Typically though it's more dedicated SH fans who enjoy it.

I know I liked it.

While pretty much all of them get love from me, my order would be:

1. Silent Hill 3
2. Silent Hill 2
3. Silent Hill 4 (First one I played :3)
4. Silent Hill Homecoming
5. Silent Hill
6. Silent Hill Origins

I can't rank Shattered Memories since I haven't played it yet.

Here's my list, and reasons why given:

• Silent Hill 3 - Love the atmosphere, locations, and I find the main character refreshing
• Silent Hill Homecoming - Yes it's "American horror"-ized, but I still find it creepy, love the more American-style dialog, like the characters, and the locations
• Silent Hill Origins - Found it boring to play through again after I beat it, unlike the other games, but I think the "mirror" idea was well done, and it's still scary
• Silent Hill Shattered Memories - An original take on the series with mixed results, but I gotta hand it to them for trying, and I like how some of their ideas turned out
• Silent Hill - A great start to the series
• Silent Hill 2 - I don't like James, I don't like any of the characters much really, don't care for many of the locations, find the hospital lame compared to the one in SH3 (which I played before it), and just didn't like it that much overall. But I love the side scenario where you play in a mansion setting a lot, so if I could rank it separately, I'd rank it really high
• Silent Hill 4 - Hate it
