Yeah, what?
I wonder what caused peter to get Retconned. He didn't go into the past, and he came back for minute or two. And, of course, basically everything revolves around him. Very intriguing cliffhanger.

DumboIMHO, Fringe does a great job of messing with my expectations.
Having Walter's time travel be the cause of the First People myth was Fridge Brilliance. I also really liked how we all misunderstood the Observers' plan to prepare Walter to sacrifice Peter. The sacrifice wasn't putting Peter in the machine in 2011 — it was making Peter into a time paradox in 2026.

And considering there's still a lot of unexplained stuff, I don't think it'll "end" anytime soon.
As everyone else is saying...whoa. That was intense. Looking forward to next season, although all this working with double characters is going to make filming a bit annoying...
Flora Segunda | World Made By Hand | Monster Blood Tattoo ^You should read these series.Well, I imagine they'll still be living in their own universe mostly, and just have the occasional meetups in the Bridge....if Peter comes back as normal somehow I suppose he'll go over to see Henry occasionally. Apart from that I'm not sure where they'll go with the Bridge idea.
DumboSo... err... is Altlivia still pregnant? Is anybody going to be asking how they ended up face-to-face? Did the machine always come from Doomsday World?
Also, you know things are bad when the Fringe Science terms in the title include water and hope.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Uh, what? She already gave birth....
Dumbo...massive brainfart, there.
But does the kid still exist?
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages? We'll have to wait and see.
DumboPeter's displacement from time will cause him to become an observer
HEY GUIZE GESS WUT

"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."Let me say this again:
In five days, we have a new season of fringe. I cannot wait.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."Will be interesting to see how the season proceeds... I honestly have almost no guess about the driving arc of the season yet. Things have just been shaken up so much and left with no context.
Observers maybe?
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages? So, the premiere:
This is a lot to take in, a new alternate history for the two universes, them sharing their fringe event findings, strange unidentified shapeshifters....and I wonder how long Peter will be relegated for Fight Club flashes.
DumboAnd it looks like Lincoln Lee is going to be a part of Over Here Fringe Division now.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."WHAT? The Wraiths got Sheppard! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
We're not just men of science, we're men of TROPE!You know, that had to have been a total Casting Gag.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."I have no idea what you guys are talking about.
Power corrupts. Knowledge is Power. Study hard. Be evil. The actor who played Colonel Sheppard in Stargate Atlantis was in the season premiere for about five minutes. He was pantless for about four out of those five minutes.
"Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person that doesn't get it."Just watched the premiere on Hulu. Happy to see they used Hartford as a location again. The excellent establishing shot in the beginning was enough to make up for that stupid use of a similar shot to represent Worcester, MA in season 1. They got the Hartford Police cruisers right. The city is the right sort of distance from Boston that Lincoln driving back and forth between the 2 a few times is not that implausible. And I laughed at what seemed to be their implication that what we call the "boat building" is the Hartford FBI headquarters. I don't even think there actually is an FBI office in Hartford, we're so unimportant.
Flora Segunda | World Made By Hand | Monster Blood Tattoo ^You should read these series. The second episode was much better. Really interesting use of the two universes.
DumboIt was an interesting use, though it still felt a bit more monster-of-the-week than I was used to.
Still, more interesting timeline differences... AU!Broyles is alive again.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?I'm really liking the new season, especially the interactions between the two universes and the trouble they have coping with their mistrust of each other (or rather, "our" side's distrust of the "other" side; the Fringe folks on the other side are remarkably amiable given that all of the Amber stuff and holes in reality are Walter's fault).
Wonder where Walternate is; I was hoping we'd see him.
Hope they don't try bringing civilians between universes anymore, considering what a fiasco this time was.
What the hell...?
We're not just men of science, we're men of TROPE!
