Rebuild of Evangelion

A Heel Realization as he's dying. I mean even with what I've seen in Rebuild I honestly don't get a huge rise out of me like that childish rant of Manga Gendo who was jealous of his son because Yui loved him.

Hopefully, he won't try to pull off a convoluted Gambit Roulette this time around.

He did took out SEELE so he pretty much has only WILLE left to deal with.

And to be fair SEELE is responsible for a lot of terrible crap that happens as well but usually get off with getting what they want.

So Gendo killing them and the Fourth Impact they planned for Instrumentality failing is the one time things didn't go their way.

Maybe it's a case of He Who Fights Monsters then?

I wonder how the two lances would influence in the possible fifth impact so that instead of leading to instrumentality it creates a better world for humans to live in.

Sort of a Reconstruction you could say.

And if Gendo does make amends with Shinji at the end, I'd have it be sort of like the ending of MGS 4:

Possibly preceeded by this

That would make for a great final battle theme.

Not to mention the lyrics would make for a believable Heel Realization for Gendo if he starts to remember when he used to be a father while Shinji tries to kill him.

Been scrolling through Eva Geeks again. One poster there feels that since Shinji responded to Asuka in the beginning of 3.33 and was able to be retrieved, and not Rei and/or Yui, that that says something about who is most connected to him.

Kind of a stretch of you ask me.

My suggestion: don't bother with Evageeks unless you're looking for factual information.

Eh, could be. Since Shinji's retrieval happens in less than a day, and given that Wille may not have been able to do the procedure before, Asuka's call to Shinji may have something to do with it.

Well, GC2 did make Asura's Wrath. Eva's canon battle choreography is cakewalk compared to that.

Wonder if they'll top that for the next film.

I kind of want Shinji and Gendo to face off one on one in a Dragon Ball Z / Man Of Steel / The Matrix Revolutions fight, at least mentally, while in the real world, Unit 01 and Adam are fighting in a Kaiju-like duel to the death.

But seriously, Unit 02 pulling an Itano at the beginning of 2.0 as homage? When they made Asura's Wrath, GC2 hired THE Ichiro Itano, the very guy who invented it.

I wonder why Khara never thought of that?

Well, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto does the Character Designs for Dot Hack.....

Also, it's kinda amusing that Khara's version of CC Chu (Cyber Connect 2's mascot) despite being Alumni of Gainax, is less over the top then the one down by Cyber Connect 2.

Anyways, what say you on the way the fight scenes are done in the saga? Some say that they lack a bit of the horror from the original show. Like the Zeruel battle.
