Expected, but still abrupt.
Imagination.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Even beyond the fact that the move isn't chopping off Spider-Fat's head, would a creature from an alternate world really name a move after Dr. Joseph-Ignace Guillotin? (I know the former is really more of the issue, but the latter is probably the more pertinent question.)
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Orphaned Etymology is hell to work around.

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."@22454 Fair enough. Still isn't enough like a guillotine to really fit, though.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Just realized it was the different griffon that did that attack, I'm smart.
Read my stories!Gryphons are not good with Nomeclature.
Also Spider Aberrations are terrible at handling flying things.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Spiders are ambush predators. They aren't built for prolonged combat.

Guillotine is normal-type though. And also a 1 hit KO so type advantages mean very little to it, with the exception of outright immunities.
What they need to use is Sky Attack.
Tiger Eagle Guillotine
Yep. Not the first attack to get a variant colored a different Type. There are how many Swifts and Quick Attacks now?
Point stands about being an OHKO, which appears to actually be what's happened to our spider vamp. He must have been lower level; those moves don't work on higher levelled enemies.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.One hit KO moves are best taught to high-level, low-tier pokemon. A level 100 Kingler would be unlikely to take out a level 99 Arceus any other way.
Why would a level 100 Kingler be facing a level 99 Arceus instead of a level 100?
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.The Arceus's owner wasn't done training it, I guess.
I would comment about this being a tangent with nothing to do with the comics, but Shive totally would use a Pokemon type chart to determine this battle.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. It may be a matter of different reference pools, but my mind automatically went to Master of the Flying Guillotine.
Any strategy that hinges on your opponent being underlevelled isn't a very good strategy.

Flying Guillotine
Oh, I saw that referenced on Myth Busters.
Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️It doesn't really look very visually impressive. Maybe putting in the skill name in fancy kanji would make it look better... scratch that there's no elegant Japanese translation of guillotine.
The classic "Named After a French Bloke" problem.
Since it was a vertical slice down the middle of the head rather than a beheading "Cleave" would have a much better term IMHGO

Trump delenda estMind you, OHKO moves do work on same-level enemies.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.30% of the time, anyway.
Shive is not very good at action.
