Which ask?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.What the fuck someone sent an ask.
Jesus.
Also I will disagree on the inconsistent thing. Text has a life of its own, and EGS is VERY inconsistent in many parts of the text.
But still jesus who sent that ask.

Read my stories! To whoever sent that ask, don't.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Confirmed it by looking at Shive's twitter. This is crazy bad.
Bad to the point that I'm going to call on the mods. This is the kind of thing that could land TV Tropes in an ocean of hot water, if word gets around.

Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Our best bet is to not interact with it (probably let that joke die down for a bit too), and hopefully whoever did it was doing it out of wholesome fun and will stop now that they realize it was a fuck up.
Read my stories!Should someone send him another one saying "TV Tropes Forum again: We don't know who sent that first Ask and suspect a rouge element. Investigations are ongoing."
F*cking hell, not only did someone send in an Ask but they put our name on it. Congratulations person, you have invented an Inverted Trope version of drama importing.
I'm not a moderator but if I was, I would be 100% furious right now.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Elfive: Personally I think not, because that is the opposite of letting something die down.
Read my stories!Fair enough.
Hell, he might have decided to check us out and seen that we're all "Ok, who posted that?" anyway.
For the record it wasn't me. I'm nowhere near invested enough in EGS to badger Shive like that :P
Also, I'm not a big fan of Twitter.
It was asked on tumblr, twitter just included a link to it. Although I assume the same logic applies.
Read my stories!Huh. Well, he handled it with good grace at least.
Wait, someone sent him a Tumblr question and signed it on behalf of this forum?
...
I don't care how well Shive took it; I don't want to know. I'm not even going to look. The entire thing makes me upset on a conceptual level, and I suspect actually seeing it with my own eyes will make me angrier. Shive could react to that with such joy that he farts out rainbows, and it still doesn't change the fact that it's a huge violation of site policy (the rule is actually "No importing or exporting drama," my emphasis added). That's the kind of thing that gets threads shut down and bans handed out.
Whoever it is, do the honorable thing and take responsibility for your actions.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.I smell a witch hunt coming along! No not really.
Not really? Er, what if some of us already lit their torch? Hypothetically, say?
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.I think the appropriate reaction would be to condemn once, then move on. Otherwise, we would inadvertently be importing drama over the whole thing. Let's be better than that.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Oh god I've gone cross-eyed.
Thurs Wednesday NP
That's the wrong distraction duck.
Prediction: the demonic duck will return within the next five NP strips to complain about a normal duck's usage.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. It was me.
Edit: I'm sorry, I thought it was all in good fun. I didn't think it'd cause any trouble.

I approve of your coming forwards to apologize.
Yeah.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.
Look, if you want outright EGS porn, draw it yourselves.
If you don't want it, then drop the subject already. That's what's getting old.
There is nothing wrong with a creator choosing to set his own standards for Author Appeal and fan appeal. It doesn't make him hypocritical or inconsistent or mentally unstable or anything of that sort.
Also, whoever submitted that Ask to Shive (which to his credit he took in good humour), I'll thank you not to speak for tropers as a whole.
