Justin time.
I mean, are you really on time for a MTG tournament if you don’t arrive ten minutes late just before the venue definitively cuts off any new pods?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Well that got surprisingly deep. And it reminds me of…
Edward: Exceptions prove the rule, and Elliott is a rare exception.
... on one hand, I'm imagining her getting transformation spells, and using them to help people who want to transform (as has been extensively discussed here, the existence of gender transformation spells almost trivializes the transgender experience of the real world with hormone replacement and surgery), but honestly, the transgressive nature of Ashley's fantasies, forcing people into it, is a major part of who she is. I'm not honestly expecting Shive to get into the parallels with rape fantasies, which even often use a similar justification of "but everyone enjoyed it!" to supposedly remove the icky parts of the story, but I think we might get at least a little navel-gazing about why she wants the power, and whether that's a good thing.
Could dovetail into why magic does kind of need policing, because there are a lot of people out there where you really don't want them to be able to live out their fantasies, as we've seen the The Feds storyline.
I think what I'm most amused by is that Dan seems to be only just realizing this.

Elliot’s. The answer is Elliot’s. Of course, they’re ridiculous for him, too.
I wanted to say something innocuous, but my brain has gotten diverted by Tensaided's comment. New set drop night? But surely George would know that...

Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Been a while since we've seen her, hasn't it?
Must have been, because I don't remember this person existing at all.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Arthur's estranged granddaughter. She had something to do with the smoke monster arc.
From perusing the reference links, she is the smoke monster—or rather she’s a wizard who copied a smoke form spell from some otherwise unimportant magic user, and uses it to cruise around looking for other spells to copy. She overheard Grace and Sam talking about his gender-changing spell as “transformation magic” and tried to badger him into demonstrating it. Grace went all Shade Tail to impress her with transforming (or intimidate her into leaving)—and succeeded surprisingly well because that can’t be wizard-copied. Grace only worked this out afterward.
In her day job she delivers pizza. She got a delivery to Tedd’s house and jumped on it, hoping to see the legendary seer—she must have gotten something from Arthur about them. She got Grace and Diane instead, getting intimidated all over again, and also indicating she already knows Diane’s charisma spell that helps her fib effectively.
But Grace didn’t recognize Jay as the smoke person at that time. How they’ve become friends and Jay has gotten Grace to want to prove Tedd is real to her I don’t know, other than the obvious—Grace makes friends with everyone and Jay would not find it hard to manipulate her in that way.
Grace was slightly acquainted with Jay from school, referring to her as 'Pony-Haired Girl', so just chatting with her in the foyer is probably enough for Grace to consider them friends.
Creed of the Happy Pessimist:Always expect the worst. Then, when it happens, it was only what you expected. All else is a happy surprise.Jay also played a major role in Parable. Originally it seemed like she was behind the shared dream, but it's eventually revealed that she was trying to do something to Grace at the same time Mist cast the dream spell, which messed the whole thing up for both of them.
Most likely relevant, considering this arc made Parable properly canon.

So the introduction is maybe not something Jay was actively trying for.
Looking at Parable again, I wonder if Royalty is a signifier that they have a chance of siring Seers.

She looks 12-15. And from the demographics I see, that actually is pretty young (I mostly see young adults with a smattering of teens and tweens). But that's just my experience. Not a surprising age though.
